    It is almost impossible to make an appointment I have rung every day for two weeks and not been able to book one No options to have a call back but just to call back later It’s very sad for patients with urgent conditions and the elderly No wonder people complain and resort to A & E and urgent care centres

    Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry you have found difficulty in making an appointment. If you choose option 2 when you are in the calling queue the system will We completely understand the frustrations of our patients and recognise the difficulties experienced in getting through on the phones and accessing appointments. Unfortunately, this is a problem experienced by GP Practices right across the country due to staffing constraints and very high levels of patient demand. Currently we receive in excess of 50,000 calls per month which makes it difficult to manage. However, we continue to try and recruit more staff both clinically and non-clinically and make improvements to try and meet more of the patient demand than we currently do.     I have tried to book an appointment on line and all that comes up is smear test for type of appointment. this is not what I need an appointment for. There were no other options.

At present our online appointments are released every day at midnight and these appointments are for three days in advance.     I have lived in this area since 2021, this is the first time I have needed GP services. The GP was abrupt from the start and said 'all these symptoms are caused by stress. ' I showed her a letter from the hospital which outlined my physical diagnosis , her response was 'yes I've seen that'. My BP was taken in both arms (the second reading was higher), GP said she had already entered the lower figure - perhaps the higher reading was recorded in the notes? I've never had a GP raise her voice or shout at me before ; this used to be the place you came for advice, possible solutions and perhaps some compassion. I should have walked out but face to face appts are like hens teeth, so I stayed; I should have challenged her at the time but I wasn't at my best and somewhat shocked and intimidated at the way the appt was going. I was not given any advice or suggestions about managing my condition, I was treated like a time waster from the start - perhaps this is to deter people from bothering to come again. Shameful.

    The one thing you can ask for at a doctors appointment is to be listened too. I was for my daughter, and given an appointment with the doctor requested for by my daughter.

    They should put a phone number that works and does the job, currently 99% of calls ends with a recorded answer to call later then ends the line. very difficult to speak to someone, then hardly can book an appointment. Doctors are nice there but hard to reach!

    Not sure how so many reviews on here are 4-5 stars I’ve been with this practice for over 20 years and the service has never been so bad it seems like the we as the customers are a hassle for the staff when you finally get through my longest experience was 3 weeks I had my wife without very important medication for over 2 weeks resulting in her ongoing illness she has now been off work since oct last year and all you get is you will just have to wait I do appreciate that it’s a busy surgery but at some point you surely have to draw the line on taking on more patients it seems like it’s causing more problems for everyone I’ve had to leave my job early in some cases drive down from Glasgow and back just to actually talk to someone this situation is getting dangerous I can only imagine the patients who do not get seen what is the plan if there is one to improve the situation my wife was drawn to tears when she had a physio call back spoken like she was worthless and with here also having mental health problems it took me a few days to stop here thinking she was doing something wrong

    I was impressed with the excellent doctor-patient consultation this morning. The clinician was welcoming and demonstrated and showed due attention to detail whilst carring out the examination proccess. I will definitely be asking to see the clinician again when possible. Visited 22.02.2023.

    I was very impressed to find out that we have a Physiotherapist @ Hollybrook & that I got an appointment within 2 days . I also got an appointment for the Flu vaccination within 3 days & in the evening @ 7.10 pm. Both of these appointments were made at the same time when I went in after work to the surgery one evening . The nurse who saw me was so lovely & a credit to the team @ Hollybrook. The Physio was very helpful. Many Thanks.

    Took my whole 2 days in an effort to make an appointment. Started making calls from 8 am, called 21 times, each time it was disconnected after the comment “we are experiencing great numbers of calls, try later.” At last I was put at 11:35 in a queue at 48 position, I was offered a call back, none made. I started again and opted to hold this time, when I reached from 44 position to 4, line was cut. Its so frustrating and disrespectful. Want to get registered to another surgery. It was pretty bad before mergers but worse rather intolerable now. Pathetic and no sympathy with patients at all. Should be shut.
