    I am trying to get in touch from Stepping Hill Hospital but your lines are closed, I can't find an email address to email, can you please tell me how hospitals get in touch with you urgently. Yesterday we were 17th in the queue.

    Dear Anonymous, We appreciate you reaching out and sorry to learn you encountered difficulties in contacting our practice. Our phone lines open at 8am and close at 6pm Monday to Friday. The phone line and website provide addition advise on how to contact us when we are closed and to call 111 if it is an urgent concern. 111 is the NHS non-emergency number, allowing you to speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals who can contact us directly if concerns are urgent. The contact us page on our website where the address and telephone number are displayed also includes a link to digitally send Enquiries via AccuRx, which is a system we use, where all enquires received are triaged and signposted by the on call GP during practice opening times. An alternative route to find information to contacting us is visiting the NHS Services online and follow the link to Find a GP - NHS (www.nhs.uk) By inputting the post code, you will be provided with the GP address, directions (which opens in Google Maps), the practice phone number and links to the Online services, where you can visit the surgery website or email the surgery directly. In response to your comment about the phonelines, we can assure you that our goal is always to answer calls in a timely manner. Our phone lines are extremely busy however being number 17 in a queue is highly unusual for our practice. As we share the Cheadle Hulme Health Centre building at Smithy Green with Cheadle Hulme Medical practice, providing anonymous feedback makes it difficult for us to narrow down which GP practice we need to investigate any poor patient service or audit caller phone numbers thoroughly to fix any faults. I am astonished to read you have encountered such a long call queue and would like the opportunity to investigate the cause and encourage you to contact me directly. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact the practice and ask for the Operations Manager Tracy Platt. Kind Regards, Tracy

    I came for a blood test on 09/11/23 and the nurse was friendly, very professional and efficient. She obtained the blood on her 1st attempt, I was very satisfied with her performance.

    I have been in and out for the last 5 weeks for something they are struggling to diagnose, luckily i have seen the same doctor 3 times now and this continuity helps, went in for a blood test and felt ill and he saw me without booked appointment. Really nice doctors who will always do their best to see you.

    Arrived early,went in to see the nurse for blood tests, she was very polite and, the receptionist told me to go to the porch and use the screen,she could have been a bit pleasant it costs nothing.

    I was extremely pleased with the response on two occasions, one a doctors appointment face to face and another telephone response, very caring. The only thing that upset me was that I got a message to say I had missed an appointment when I had rung to cancel it hence my then phone appointment.

I am sorry you were upset receiving a missed appointment notification and your communication to cancel your appointment was not acted on as promptly as we would of liked. There is huge pressure throughout the NHS on appointment availability and by increasing awareness of this problem, enforcing our policy robustly, we aim to reduce the number of DNAs in order to free up appointments for those who need them. We also appreciate that on occasions, there are special circumstances which may have result in a DNA notification out of patients control and would advise patients to inform reception when this applies so we can take this into consideration. On occasions, a DNA notification can be sent in error, as it was in this case, to which we also kindly encourage patients to contact our reception staff to discuss this further so we can rectify patients records accordingly.     I had a blood test. Seen on time, the nurse was extremely efficient - everything prepared when I entered the room. Blood efficiently and easily taken (no bruising). I was out within 2 minutes. Thank you

    Polite, caring & efficient staff across the board. The practice was busy on the day of my appointment but I didn’t have to wait long to been called. GP’s & Nursing staff personally greet patients which is great, puts you at your ease.
