on Friday24/11/2023 i telephoned the surgery and spoke to the receptionist at 9.10am and explained i went to A&E on Wednesday 22/11/23 following a fall and was xrayed and saw an orthopaedic consultant - my right shoulder is fractured. the receptionist text me the email address so i could forward my discharge letter which i did, i explained i needed some stronger pain relief and would also need a sick note for work, she said the doctor wold call me that morning - when i had received no call by 14.10 i called again and the receptionist said i was still on the list to be called about a sick note. i again explained i was in a lot of pain and that was the main purpose of my call. she reiterated i was on the list. i called again at 17.20 and the receptionist said exactly the same as the one at 14.10 suggesting it was just about a sick note and i again said i was in severe pain and had been since late the night before. i was again told i was still on the list. knowing the surgery closed at 18.30 i called again at 18.20 and the recorded message said the surgery was closed. i called 111 and they referred me to the badger clinic at Stockland Green who called me and sent a prescription to the chemist within minutes. while i was on to them the GP finally called at 19.00 almost 10 hours after my initial call to the surgery - he left a message on my voice mail to say if i still needed to speak to someone to call again on Monday! I am appalled that i was left in severe pain for 10 hours - the recoded message while waiting to be answered by the surgery says "... our receptionists who will do their very best to help you" - i take the view the doctor was only told i needed a sick note so i was placed at the bottom of the list - had it just been a sick note that would have been fine but i explained on 3 occasions it was pain relief that was the main purpose of my call. 111 provided sufficient medication to get me through the weekend and on Monday i will have to start trying to speak to a GP all over again. i am now dreading going through the same scenari again

Would not recommend this surgery to anyone. Abysmal service and terrible wait times. Appointments get cancelled and you are not Informed. The staff are unprofessional and can come across I'll mannered and be littleing. Some doctors are brilliant but the other half of them can be as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

It was easy to book my appointment in the day and the staff was brilliant and vert helpful. I'm very happy with the doctor he was able to help me and make me feel safe because I suffer with social anxiety. I hope he keeps the good work because he's changing people's lives for the better.

I have been with a number of surgeries over the years, and I can honestly say the iridium is one of the best for being able to get an appointment. Although you have to ring on the day for the appointment, you’ll 9/10 always get one, which is especially useful when you have children. The downsides however is the parking. It’s a small car park considering how many patients there are coming and going each day and you never know if there are any spaces unless you drive in. It’s pretty tight to turn around so I now just park on a side road. There is a check in service which never works, so you have to check in with reception, and as they also deal with queries, you can be waiting for up to 15 minutes, so don’t be late or even on time! If the check in system worked, it would be much better not only for the patients but also for the surgery and there maybe more patients on time! Lastly, the surgery is always running behind, so don’t expect to be seen at the time of your appointment (probably because people are waiting to be checked in!)

Have been with this practice for a number of years now, always get seen to when need to see a gp due to ongoing health problems and hospital admissions of and on over the last 2 and a half years, gp has been very helpful and supportive including the nurses over that period of time, however it's only past year i have noticed that i now have to call the practice on the morning i need to see to see a gp and 9 times out of 10 i have been given an appointment for that day whether it is at my own gp practice or there partner gp practices, i find the nurses and gp go above and beyond every time i have seen them and very professional, they listen regarding my needs and act on it, do any referrals which the gp thinks that needs doing, can't fault gp's or nurses as i no they have busy schedules and probably over worked, my only one concern..receptionists ( not all of them) at times when i have telephoned to book an appointment with gp i have given my reasons why i need to see a gp and they seem to think they no best to whether my symptoms at the time needs to be acted upon, it's all very well on the automated message when you telephone saying the receptionists are trained to query if you need to see a gp or not..i find it wrong and a bit concerned because as i witnessed for myself a good few weeks ago the receptionist at the time thought i didn't need to see a gp so i literally had to be firm after being told to call the following day and this was even after giving receptionist all my symptoms at the time and excruciating pain i was in, eventually was given appointment at a partner practice, on attending my appointment a urine sample was done straight away and was told i had a lot of blood in my urine, possible urine infection and given antibiotics which worked, you see my concern is some of the receptionists may need to use a bit of common sense when given symptoms from patients and if not sure than query or ask a more qualified health professional instead of trying to fob patients off, i was lucky that it was a uti as it could of so easily been something worse, all im saying is yes i no receptionists have a lot off calls to take and very busy but at the end of the day they are not doctors and need to realise that.

Went to see GP for pain in hands. Referred for hand xrays. Did not hear back so called them to be told report back did not want warrant to see GP. Report showed osteoarthritis! I said I came to GP with pains in hands getting worse would like a GP apt. I was told no GP apts available and to book in with Physiotherapist. I did this had had confirming email and text to see Physio. I went to Iridium saw blue white sign showing Physiotherapy upstairs. I went upstairs asked if in right place to be told yes take a seat Sat and waited half hour past my apt I went down and spoke to Receptionist he said apt was downstairs and I had missed it now go to Room 12 see if he's still there if not you will need to rebook!! I said your sign says Physiotherapy upstairs!!!! Bad communication! Work all day 5 days a week!! And cannot get apt with my GP!!!! I went to your practise with pains which I still have and cannot get to discuss same! What has happened to this practise I have been a patient for 40 years and seen a downward turn in customer care. I now have a report saying I have severe Osteoarthritis and cannot get treated!!!!!

First of all I had my appointment at 10:20 but it’s 10:50 and I’m still waiting saying to me that the doctor couldn’t handle the time and it’s behind now but it’s happening all the time that I have appointment here. Secondly, last time after waiting half an hour they asked me 2 question without even care about my problem. Unexperienced doctors

Waited over one hour to see a doctor when I finally saw a doctor she said I can be passed on to a specialist but will take a very long time and told me to just put up with the pain and discomfort Very frustrating
