  1. Review titled Good Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Pauline Maitama-Sule - Posted on 08 July 2024

Dr was riendly, thorough in his investigation and reassuring. No red flags but will send me for further investigation of my falls to be sure. I felt very satisfied with his assessment. The receptionist was polite with a nice friendly smile and extremely helpful. I left the surgery feeling that I had been treated well.

  2. Review titled busy but helpful

Rated 3 stars out of 5

You have to queue and can only contact them during a short window every day but once you get seen they're usually very helpful. Just called to reschedule an appointment I missed and the person I dealt with was very helpful

  4. Review titled Get there in the end.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

It’s a good practice and I respect the facilities it offers but can be frustrating when chasing shared care prescriptions. Fortunately today I was able to secure prescription after chasing it up.

  5. Review titled Do better

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Much of the reports here is same for my family. I am pleased some people get help. I want the same help.I feel like they build a ery big wall. I think they prefer simple patients. I think they don't like the disabled. I being told no to appointments to see a GP from my team there. I have surgical examinations at hospital and a letter to say GP to prescribe medicines but they are not so I am in pain. Letter says to make sure I check in for blood reasons but they say no. I go in say I can't use my phone I have no money and they say all patients must have phone to be called. No appointment for me. They say they are on strike maybe this is why aswell but there is nobody to talk to as very busy and they are very stressed .

  6. Review titled Unhelpful and rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rae - Posted on 09 July 2024

I have no idea why a hospital doctor's strike stops the GP having appts but reception told me over 3 days it did. This is why they had no appts. Not there being no diary slots drawn up yet ( the usual excuse) or anything else said over the years. But a strike. I have a serious health condition and need a GP appt after a hospital admission. To get checks and tests the GP was asked to do. I can't get one. To make worse receptionists here yet again were incredibly rude. It shouldn't be happening so much

Dear Rae, We are sorry to hear about the negative experience you had. Junior GP strikes do effect our appointment availability as we are a teaching practice and a large number of our appointments are with junior doctors. I am sorry about your experience with our receptionists. Please do email us on jw.communications@nhs.net so we can understand what has happened better. Kind regards, James Wigg Management

  7. Review titled Long live the NHS

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by liz de Keller - Posted on 11 July 2024

I have recently had contact with my doctor at the practice and also with UCH. I am impressed with the way the two services have shared information and that my GP has phoned, texted and given me an appointment promptly and it seems, at least in my case, the NHS has come up trumps. I am aware of the huge number of patients on the practice list and the fact that staff are overworked but I feel they are doing their best.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Aimee Birnbaum - Posted on 09 July 2024

Today was phoned with questions about Covid contagion of both myself and my husband. There were no telephone appointments left for today so the practice reception very helpful with how to proceed to get the information we need.

  9. Review titled Upsetting

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 June 2024

I feel a burden at my surgery here because I am older. I don't understand the ways it works. I need to see a GP and they say no every time. There are only telephone appointments and triage and I have hearing loss so when they do the triage assessment it is too difficult to understand. I will give this example of recently I felt unwell and my blood pressure on the machine the NHS gave me was too high. I tried 6 times to ring the surgery with very long waits. They only had emergency telephone appointments and that's too hard and I was in tears So I never went and checked my symptoms with a GP.

  10. Review titled Why is there no improvement?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 June 2024

Some admin staff are very intolerant and very rude when they get impatient with people. My mum is a bit deaf and gets easy confused and a GP surgery should be thinking this could be a sign help is needed. She's been shouted at for ringing lots which upset her ,she tries the phone because that's how here says it must be but she doesn't know what to do. The automated voice is way too busy for anyone confused. She went nearly a month without tablets when paramedics came was it found out the prescription stopped and the GP didn't know why. She had to stay in hospital which is very distress her. There is no need to treat the elderly like this. Some patients are getting priority they get a Dr very easy, not my mum
