    Nice to see the surgery improving , even the outside is looking more cared for. New phone system is great , got through within 5 mins and got an apmt with the ANP who was lovely and took time to listen to me. Noticed some new receptionist recently but they are all polite and helpfull

    My recent experience at this surgery has been very positive. Great support from both my GP and Pharmacist, caring, compassionate and proactive in supporting with my health concerns. Reception staff are efficient, helpful and polite. Many thanks for the support received.

    This surgery has continued to go downhill over the last couple of years. So difficult to get an appointment. Having to chase my own blood results, despite on the app it says ‘abnormal, contact patient’. No contact from surgery a week later and when I try and get an appointment to discuss, I’m told I’ll have to phone back again the next day because there’s no more appointments left for that day. Even though I phone at 08.30, number 25 in the queue, then they cut me off. Absolutely shocking and would not recommend. Will be finding another GP surgery.

    Dear Anonymous I have to disagree with your review. In the last 12 months the surgery has recruited 4 additional clinical staff including 2 GPs, a prescribing paramedic and a prescribing Advanced Nurse Practitioner. We also house other ARRS staff via our PCN. The practice also has dedicated blood result clinics running every few weeks. If your result is abnormal but within tolerance it may be that the GP will need to speak with you, however should your result be urgent then we will contact you sooner to discuss. Regarding your telephone wait time, as you have decided to remain anonymous I cannot help with this, however if you would like to contact me with your details we now have a telephone system that can interrogate and report on many things including wait times. It would also tell us how the call was terminated. I am sure we did not cut you off as you state. When all the surgery appointments have been taken for the day we can signpost to other services such as walk in centre, secondary care care or should you be housebound then the Paramedic Visiting Service. if your problem is acute and urgent we would pass this to our oncall GP to triage the next most appropriate steps.     I recently had two consultations at this surgery with different GP's and felt taken care of. Both took the time to listen to my concerns and compassionate in their approach. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Thank you Kensington Road Surgery

    I'm not sure how anyone gets an appointment for anyone other than the nurse. A few weeks ago, I called after their lunch, as soon as the practice opened. I was number one in the queue and I waited 35 minutes before someone answered the call. They answered as I was 3 metres from the door as I had decided to walk there and see why it seemed to be taking so long. Yesterday we tried to get an appointment for my partner and was told there were no appointments for the week and to call in the morning for today. He was 6th in the queue when he called, no appointments. Their default response is to go to the walk-in clinic on both occasions. I'd be interested to know what proportion of the days appointments are reserved for ongoing consultations and how many are for on the day bookings. We're hoping he may be deemed worthy of a phone appointment later but I'm not holding my breath.

    Dear Kirsty I was very disappointed to read your email, however as you have not provided any further details I cannot comment further. Should you wish to get in touch directly I can certainly investigate this for you. In June we offered 2033 appointments, sadly 71 were DNA. This is 82.9% utilisation. Once the surgery is at capacity we signpost to the most appropriate service, be it A & E, Walk in Centre or Paramedic Visiting Service should the patient be housebound. We also offer extended hours provided by the GP Alliance each evening and weekend. If you would like to receive more facts and figures on our appointments then do please make an appointment to visit the practice and speak with me, where I will be more than happy to oblige. thank you Julie Mayall

    It’s such a shame everywhere needs sprucing up because the healthcare at this place has improved no end over the past 6 months with all the new staff and Gp’s and the man on receprion is lovely and helpfull

    Practice has some new colleagues that have transformed the patient care. The new receptionists are excellent, efficient and very effective. The new nursing staff are very knowledgeable, supportive and empathetic to your needs. The practice as a whole has always been excellent, however the recent changes have been for the better and really making the experience more efficient and enjoyable.

    Things have certainly improved at the practice since a certain Doctor has arrived. Phone calls are answered quicker and the attitude of the reception staff is more positive and helpful. Just before Christmas we as a family lost a close member of our family and the care and compassion shown to us by several members of the team but especially to the Practice Director. Thank you for being you.

    I just wanted to say how much of an improvement I’ve seen within the practice. It’s so much easier to get through on the phone and the staff are always really lovely and helpful now. The new chap on the front desk is lovely and the Acp I’ve seen is just wonderful. I felt like she’d read up on me and had time for me when I saw her today. Great addition
