2nd shingles jab at Brandon road surgery On time and no problems !!! The nurse was very professional and explained everything about the jab and any possible side effects

My GP was patient, listening to what I said and even making short notes on a pad on his desk. He suggested a diagnosis and asked how I felt about it. Once we agreed he suggested several solutions and a referral. He explained how long it might take and offered several pain relief options.

A long time since I've been to Surgery and found it very different. No personal interaction from Reception just a lady on phone pointing to sign in screen.☹️ Empty waiting area. As an elderly patient feeling very unwell I felt very alone and vulnerable. The Doctor I saw was a breath of fresh air. Listened carefully to my problems and was understanding and caring.He explained in clear detail my condition and was reassuring about my ongoing treatment. I have no problems with the medical service this practice has always afforded me, but feel sad that the first encounter patients experience in reception is cold and uncaring. I appreciate the receptionists are glued to the phones .It always was a busy practice for years but you always got a friendly greeting from someone and felt you were a person rather than just another number on a computer. Sign of the times I suppose.

The GP I saw, who I am not allowed to name, was focused on the three things I wanted looking at. His short investigations were thorough and the diagnostic actions he booked were well considered, giving me confidence going forward.

The doctor we saw was extremely good and definitely new what to do and where I need to be referred to and was able to feel I could trust him
