Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 June 2023

I recently had an appointment at the diabetic clinic, in the past I have had Bloods checked, BP checked and Weight, this time it was blood test , which took forever (dont think the needle was in the vein properly) then passed through to nurse who looked at my records and decided I didnt need a BP check because I had already had one sometime in the past, no question about my weight, then today I get a request via text asking me for my weight for practice records??? Also what is happening to the regular staff who appear to be jumping ship, the practice appears to have lost of good caring nurses etc and its so sad and worrying

When i arrived i was surprised at how clean and aesthetic the waiting area was, the receptionist on the desk was lovely and treated me with so much respect and was very helpful, then the Dr i saw was very thorough and made sure that i was totally satisfied with all my issues before i left, i would recommend this service to everyone 10/10

  3. Review titled Reception rude and unqualified

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Adele Ford - Posted on 06 May 2023

Most of the receptionists I have dealt with have been very helpful, sympathetic and apologetic when mistakes have been made by the surgery. Unfortunately they are let down by one young receptionists who clearly has no medical terminology experience or empathy towards patients!! People who call the surgery are either ill themselves or calling about someone who is ill, whether that be mental or physical. They need to be spoken to with respect and empathy! I am utterly shocked that this young lady is still working for this practice and she is letting all the other staff down. She talks down to patients, talks over you, is completely unhelpful, refused to pass me on to the practice manager or office manager, told the nurse was too busy to speak to me so I had to insist on a call back. This could have been resolved quickly and easily with an apology and some understanding, I did not expect to be talked down to and told I was causing ‘hassle’ because my child couldn’t have his 12 week immunisations on time and has to wait 5 weeks longer all because I was told by the surgery that they make the appointments only to ring and chase this to then be told I should have made it myself and because I didn’t they now couldn’t fit me in any earlier! Receptionist needs training on how to communicate appropriately to patients, what a shame she lets down the other receptionists who are excellent!

  5. Review titled Literally impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

Still no "routine appointments" because of covid, which is just an excuse at this point. You call up to book an appointment, there's never any left. You use the app, it says you can't book any. You try the website, there's none left. You try the new booking service and you need a login, which you need an appointment with them to receive, which they don't have any of.... It is literally impossible to see a doctor here, to the point that my last 3 visits have had to be to urgent care centres via 111 referrals as it is the only way to actually see someone. There's no point in this surgery even existing, they can't provide any services to you.

  6. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

When we moved here we were really worried about joining this practice due to negative reviews. All I can say is that the reception staff. nurses and doctors have all been kind and helpful whenever we have contacted the practice.

  7. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My daughter had been complaining of severe earache from two in the morning. I phoned and the duty doctor returned my call 5 minutes later and asked for her to be taken down for an appointment 30 mins later. When we arrived, we waited for quite a long time. When I asked the receptionist, she explained that the duty doctor was dealing with a medical emergency and was very apologetic. We were seen approximately 30 mins late and on seeing on the doctor, were again given an apology. She checked my daughter over thoroughly and prescribed her medication which has sorted the problem out. I have no issue with the practice and feel that you should treat people how you would like to be treated yourself. My experience at the practice has always been good and I have attended for 42 years.

  8. Review titled Outstanding Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Yesterday I had cause to call the surgery for medical advice . I explained the problem in detail to the receptionist who was courteous, considerate, thorough and extremely helpful. She said she would refer the problem to a doctor who would call me back. Within 15 minutes we had a call back and within 2 hours a face-to-face appointment and examination in the surgery by the doctor. Medication was prescribed and collected at the surgery's pharmacy. That really is an excellent service. Thank you

  9. Review titled Joke of a practice, horrible staffs

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 December 2022

It's interesting how I made a review about a year ago regarding the practice and the receptionist. Coming to the practice again and noticing the same rude receptionists after ringing themearlier i was running late due to traffic, Ensure your receptionist go on communication courses and stop being passive aggressive to patients they feel they can pick on because it's appalling and for the Dr that came to 'calm the situation' by telling me not to raise my voice, maybe thats the way my voice is or you expect me to tolerate passive aggressiveness from your receptionist, to call 111 trust me I do that all the time because the practice is very unhelpful 99% of the time. If you are a GP trainee also go for a conflict resolution course, if you are a fully qualified GP then also change your ways. It's sad that after the surgery noticed the gaff they decided to call back and say the Dr was unaware I brought my child for the appointment and you later gave me an appointment that same day when i could have been seen earlier, then I am glad she didn't see us because how would I want such person to see my child when she doesn't know anything about the appointment I booked? I know this review won't change anything about the surgery because it's still the same way from a year ago but at least people who want to register at the surgery will read the reviews on her

  10. Review titled Unhelpful and uncaring

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Elizabeth McKenna - Posted on 17 December 2022

I bought my sick daughter into the reception this morning (17/12/22) hoping to find some help as I was really concerned for her as she'd been poorly in the night. I was confronted by an extremely unfriendly, uncaring receptionist who didn't even ask me what was wrong with my 8 year old before she just said she couldn't help me. What is wrong with the system? Why have such an uncaring person representing a place where patients are supposed to be cared about? It's was not only disgusting service but totally uncaring reaction for a human being. Please speak to your staff and maybe employ somebody who cares about people to begin with. I cried when I went outside and my two daughters who were with me cried too.
