Won't allow me to name her but saw a lovely Nurse today at 3pm. She was so patient knowledgeable and explained everything so well. 5 stars. Thankyou so much:)

Review titled Great nurse!
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Sarrah Tape Campbell - Posted on 23 January 2025
I was looked after by the nicest, most professional nurse ever this morning. I went in for a Cervical Smear Test, famously awful procedure, and was met by this fantastic young irish nurse . She made me feel so comfortable and cared for which made the whole experience so much less overwhelming.

Review titled Lovely practice, great staff
Rated 4 stars out of 5

During pregnancy and especially since the birth of my baby, I have been well cared for by the surgery - the doctors and nurses are brilliant and very caring, especially one nurse who administered the immunisations - was very gentle and sensitive to both of us.

Review titled In dire needs
Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery's standard has been dwindling for the last 10years. Now it's impossible to find an appointment. If administration stuff, surely, they can manage, or that's what you think. The answer is no. A big No. My Medical Exemption Certificate renewal application has gone missing for the Second time and all they can say is I don't know-there is nothing more I can say". My certificate has gone expired now so I am extremely worried for my continuous prescription access. Ok so if they don't know what happened to my applications, they should be able to offer a solution but No, not their problem. I filled in the form for the 3rd time as there is no other way but oh how bitterly unreluctant the receptionist was about the resubmission, as they are anxious to leave work. . "It will be 6weeks before the new certificate be sent!" But that's not true as I already checked with the certificate office and I was confirmed Twice! by separate staff that re-issue will take 10 days and that each sent application will be confirmed by eMail directly. The surgery is coming up with any stories to get out of the sticky situation. Finally when I left, I was told they never had any problems with other patients. Well I would like to say I never had any problems with renewals before until now. Everything is a problem for the surgery. I also have /witnessed other issues but let me continue in another review....

Review titled Very much improved appointment system
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Andrew Smith - Posted on 30 September 2024
Now very easy to request an appointment online each morning. Fill in your details then the practice comes back to you - no more hanging on the phone. I wanted a Dr to look at a condition I had that needed attention but wasn't urgent. Got seen a couple of days later, walked out with a prescription and a booking for a follow up appt. Nice and easy. This practice now has a full complement of GP's.

Review titled Admin rubbish
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Yet again Kingswood lets me down with a repeat prescription. Having left the request in the correct box (that’s the one for repeat prescriptions not the one for repeat prescriptions that says ‘do not leave repeat prescriptions in this box’ - yes, really) and waited the required 5 days (5! Why?) the surgery had not sent it to the pharmacy. The receptionist promised me it would be there the next morning - it wasn’t, leaving me with no medication. No surprise. I probably won’t even bother raising it with them. No point, it will happen again.

Review titled Awful practice
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 May 2024
Haven't used a doctor for years - tried to make an appt. at this one. Went online, told me to sign up to Patient Access, did this (also involved signing up to NHS) - it took ages only to be told this surgery does not offer this service! No online links on their website working this morning. Phoned 3 times, got cut-off twice - eventually got through only to be told I have a ten minute window every morning to click on a link which will generate a call back to me and once they are full, the link will close!! Receptionist rude and uncaring, no comment when I said that I'd been cut off twice. Is this what doctors surgeries are like now? How can this be a viable service to patients? You hear it's bad but until you go through it, you don't realise. So I guess I will now enter this circus every morning until I either get an appointment - or drop dead!

Review titled A Great genuine GP Surgery
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am grateful for the outstanding care I received at Kingswood surgery. Filled out a triage form in the morning for my son. Was called by the doctor that morning and seen 30mins later! He was so friendly and welcoming and reassured me and my son, didn't feel like we were being rushed at all! Kingswood really seems to have turned things around..

Review titled No improvement

Still run for benefit of staff not patients. Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances I have been delayed for a few weeks in Yorkshire. As a result I have run out of blood pressure tablets. A helpful local pharmacist said to get my surgery to give them the details, quite straightforward. Not for Kingswood it isn’t. I rang last Monday, explained, and was told to send an email. I said no, you don’t read emails and I’ve run out of important medication. I was then told requests take 5 days. Yes, I know that, normally, but clearly the person hadn’t listened to a word. I then got a lecture about when I last had a repeat prescription - totally irrelevant to my problem. I insisted something be done and was told someone would get back to me. Needless to say, no one did. I had to drive all the way back home to Wycombe (and back again) to retrieve my spare tablets which I keep back to cover me for when they lose prescription requests. I rang again on Thursday to complain and asked for the practice manager On leave, so I asked for the p m to call me today as I’m not prepared to hang on for another hour - you get to the front of the queue and the phone still rings out for ages. No one has called me. I’m not the least bit surprised. It will be interesting to see if they do now.
