It was easy to book appointment on line within a few days. On arrival I used the automated check in and was seen earlier than my appointment official time. My treatment from this appointment has been very speedy.

I have just spent 25 minutes on the phone to book a routine appointment. Lakeside's website says they can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance using SystmOnline, or by calling or visiting the practice. The member of staff who answered my call told me that no appointments were available and I should phone at 8am the next day. I asked if I had misunderstood the wording on the website and was told that only a certain number of routine appointments are made available each day up to 2 weeks in advance. I believe that this restricted access to appointments should be made clear to patients accessing online information and should accurately reflect the current appointment procedure. I completely understand why patients become frustrated with staff after a lengthy and unnessary wait on the phone.

I found it hard with the changes and at times exasperating but it’s not the doctors or receptionist fault. More needs to be done to help and especially this practice which gets such bad criticism. They are doing their best to help everyone as best as they can. May I say they are all nice people on the desk but one lady in particular who I didn’t get her name is so helpful and pleasant which is lovely as puts you at ease. Once in the surgery all is good the doctor I saw was great he listened to me took time in explaining things to me put me at ease.

A very poor level of service at this doctors. In the process of moving. Staff are rude and it’s almost impossible to get an appointment. I need a diabetic review and on 3 Apr was offered an appointment at the end of May. If I move practice I can have one at the new practice before the end of Apr.

I mistakenly booked an appointment with the trainee GP. I have been waiting to see a consultant colorectal surgeon at Addenbrookes for 6 months now. The purpose of my appointment was; a) To get an emergency prescription for antibiotics and cocodamol. b) To hopefully find out how much longer I have to wait to see the consultant in Cambridge. Having a complicated medical history it would be much easier to see the same doctor each visit. The trainee was very polite and kind but needed time to review my history.

The doctor was so supportive. She had never met me before but could see I was anxious and concerned about a lump on my leg. She arranged scans immediately and personally phoned me once results received. She was supportive to my husband too, answered all our questions and comforted me which I so needed. Throughout all of my previous cancer and since, everyone has been so kind and always go the extra mile to assist me.

Can never get appointment have to make appointments 2 wk in advance for telephone appointment put me on test drugs so not follow up then fail to telephone me on the date for the telephone appointment
