    My condition was asthmatic chest infection, initial nurse visit resulted in 5 days medication including asthma steroids, this was insufficient requiring second medication, however omitted steroids which I believe lengthen recovery period. Learning point from me if 7/10 days had been given first time less medication overall, saving health cost and patient would have more comfortable experience. This is not a complaint but feedback. Interaction between nurse and patient positive and friendly from both parties. Second visit escalated to doctor likewise. Nurse engaged with patient (me) showing concern (spotting me waiting to see doctor) which was well received and helped bring doctor up to date with my condition. As referenced earlier, surprised asthma steroids not issued in second prescription. Patient has many years experience of condition including steroids and medical recoveries. I like Lakeside and staff commitment from booking appointments to medical care. Much improved in recent times. Would request making patient appointments remains key focus, as retired individual I can remain on phone for the 60 minutes plus to get through, but for those working this is more of a barrier to health care access.

    The receptionist was busy when I entered the practice, but she acknowledged I was there with a smile and told me she would be with me shortly I didn’t catch her name, but she was lovely and friendly very welcoming and professional. I was called into my appointment on time. I was having my B-12 injection done and I was in and out of my appointment within five minutes. The nurse was lovely friendly and very helpful calming and organised. It’s nice to have a friendly face especially at a medical appointment Which makes you feel so much more comfortable - usually I attend appointments at Lakeside and the service there is never as good as it is at Forest Gate, I wish I could have all of my appointments there. Thank you for making my appointment easy comfortable and most of all pain-free. The practice and treatment room were very clean and tidy, warm and inviting. There was hand sanitiser available as well as facemasks for those that still feeling uncomfortable because of Covid this was refreshing because you don’t really see this much anymore. I would definitely recommend this practice to everybody.

    I went to the reception at Forest Gate surgery and spoke to a young gentleman who was excellent. He was welcoming and so helpful which I appreciated so much. What a service!

    I'm very grateful to the staff at Corby Lakeside Healthcare. I had an issue that the person I spoke to on reception handled perfectly. It's important that people feel they can rely on those working in this important profession and I'm very thankful to feel that the issue I had is being taken care of. I feel the NHS is a blessing and I truly appreciate that my practice has given me nothing but support when I need it.

    I'm not one for going to the GP but when I do, I would expect my issue to be taken seriously and dealt with. If that's what you would like then Lakeside surgery isn't for you. I have been complaining of pain for the last few months, if I am lucky to get a GP appointment then I am told to call the hospital and ask where my scans are by the doctor, no chasing happens on Lakesides part. Otherwise I get sent to 8-8 where they cannot refer you to anywhere to take the matter further, so 8-8 tell you to go see your GP... but you can't get an appointment. When a doctor finally gets your blood results in and sees there is a problem, it is confirmed by the practice receptionist that doctors at lakeside in fact do not check previous medical history before giving advice out to the patient so you could end up misdiagnosed and nothing to chase up scans that have previously been requested you have to do this yourself. Regarding getting an appointment, if your unemployed, retired or just have nothing to do on your day off then Lakeside is for you, as calling at 08.30am will set you back roughly a cool 1 hour and 15 minutes wait time while you are always placed in a queue of over 60 people and the call back service is always conveniently disabled at this time. If you are working however, have school run or maybe work for an emergency service where you hit remote locations or areas that have no signal, then you either won't get through in time due to your responsibilities or if the call drops out your re-setting that wait time which results in you getting told to call back tomorrow, and the next day... But wait Lakeside has Anima right? You can just log on at 7.30am and get yourself an appointment via online form. Yes, your right, it does. Unfortunately anima is a huge waste of time and just as reliable as calling in. Firstly your "triaged" a word I use lightly, and placed in some kind of pecking order, you may get an appointment today but it may be at the end of next week or never. The list of options to choose from on Anima are limited and you can never find what your looking for. Still you complete the form, and if you are one of the lucky few where a GP to calls you they won't mention half of what you selected and calls feel very rushed with a reluctance to refer you to anywhere presumably to save money. Lakeside obviously has too many patients, and is clearly happy to take on more, as GPs get paid more by the NHS according to how many patients are registered with them, this is profitable for them do do this. Due to this your care does not feel like lakesides primary concern. Don't ask a receptionist to escalate anything for you either, they won't. Even complaining gets you nowhere, I complained about neglect for my pain issue and blood results, haven't even heard back. I had to use Anima again to try explain this and and an appointment gets made for 1 weeks time, when all I need is my scan made urgent as pain gets worse. Avoid this practice.

Unfortunately, as a primary care provider, we do not manage secondary care follow-ups, including hospital referrals and scans, for this you would have to chase Kettering General Hospital directly. These aspects of care are typically coordinated directly by the hospital. Regarding your concern about appointment availability, we recognise that the current demand for GP appointments is exceptionally high, and we are actively working to improve our access to both in-person and telephone consultations. We understand that wait times for phone appointments can be frustrating, particularly for those with work or other responsibilities, and we are currently actively recruiting for our reception staff to help reduce the wait times and to up our anima intake by several 100.     I had a visit to the cardio research team on Tuesday. My heart rate was low and this was report to the surgery. I was contacted on weds and asked to come in immediately, I was at a family funeral so a urgent appointment was made for the following morning. I meet with the doctor and we compared my ecg results with historical ones taken since my heart attack and there was no change. The doctor advised me to monitor my resting heart rate. The doctor was very calm and knowledgeable.

    I am a terminally ill patient who needed a wound dressed regularly and the nurse who tended my wound was very thoughtful kind and caring. I feel I was treated with great compassion.

    I have received nothing but support from Corby Lakeside Surgery. I was really worried about a health issue and the both the person that I spoke to on the reception and the Dr I then saw for my appointment were nothing but friendly, supportive and incredibly efficient. I'm very grateful for the care I received. All I can say is thank you, thank you for doing the unbelievably important jobs that you do - you make a difference!
