    I was very anxious while awaiting a biopsy appointment for suspected cancer and the social prescriber was amazing and so supportive. Also , I was able to request gp appointment after the biopsy so I could ask any questions or concerns I had. The doctor was very helpful.

    Thank you to the nurse who removed my staples from my hip today. She was very kind, caring and considerate of my feelings. I was very anxious to begin with but this nurse really helped me to become calm and relaxed and regularly asked if I was ok. Thank you again, she was wonderful.

    Attended to receive a regular injection. Booking in on arrival used the electronic, straight forward. Nurse that I was booked in with to administer injection, pleasant very competent, delivered without discomfort, advised when I was next due. This visit was without issue. I have needed to access the surgery several occasions in recent times, there have been massive improvements in accessing services with the implementation of the new online system Anima, the reception staff also much improved, friendly and helpful. This surgery often seems receive negative feedback but having been a patient for many years find it much improved and would consider it a good surgery especially when considering the ever increasing number of patients registered.

    Very disappointed with near system, filled in all questionnaire for a call from a doctor, received an appointment for a call back for almost 2 weeks later for a 10 minute call , what are patients do in the mean time , I tried to cancel the appointment which I was unable to, rang surgery , explained I couldn't wait 2 week and I would go to pharmacy myself. Receptionist just sad sorry that's how system work , appointment cancelled . What's the point in calling to get an appointment, if you have to wait so long .

    I’m not one to visit the GP for myself but after feeling awful on and off for the last couple of years, I decided I really must get seen. From the first phone call and face to face with my GP, he has been very thorough in making sure I’ve had all relevant tests, bloods, scans and reviews and is helping to put my mind at ease and rule out anything untoward.

    Have had my b12 injection today which I have every 12 weeks the nurse who gave me it was very pleasant and gentle did not feel it which I have on a few occasions over the past few years

    I have recently been seen by a GP who was nothing short of fantastic. He followed up with test results as promised and has gone above and beyond to help and reassure me. My main criticism would be the difficulty in getting through on the phone and general lack of appointments. Once you get seen, the service is excellent

    Reception staff are aggressive with no empathy. Called to day as issues booking a multiple issue appointment and was told with over 50,000 other patients it's unfair to deal with more issues for one patient. I advised if someone has an issue needing dealt with, it should be, it's not a cold sore i want looked at, it's serious issues including pain management, purse souter removal and wound review, sick note and swelling of left leg. Also ongoing issues. I was advised to go to the Urgent care centre. The usual reply a patient gets, even the Cancer patients. Seems to me this surgery keeps registering patients for the fee they charge the NHS for each patient they have on their books but have no capacity to treat their issues. Seems like a real money maker to me and people wonder why the NHS seems like an endless money pit. GP practices such as Lakeside are nothing more than a business, making as much profit as possible all costing the NHS and putting patients at risk. It's all wrong.
