This is part of my annual review. All I had was BP, weight and toes pricked. I have to wait till September to have the rest done. It would be much better for me if it could be done on the same visit to the surgery.

Dear Sylvia, Thank you for taking the trouble to leave your review for us. Ideally we do aim to book the part of the diabetic review that you describe followed immediately by a review with our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, so that this is all done at the same visit. Unfortunately, given the time of year, we have staff members who would normally do these tasks on the same day, currently on annual leave. I am sorry about this. Hopefully, the next time you visit for a diabetic review, you will find that it can indeed all be done at one visit. We apologise for the inconvenience experienced on this occasion.

I emailed the surgery at 8am and was messaged that I had an appointment with the associate physician the same day. I was seen on time and the associate physician carefully checked my records for my ongoing condition before speaking to the Doctor who came into the room to speak with me . I left the surgery with a clear plan in mind for when the condition reoccurs along with other preventative measures I could take. More serious conditions that ran in my family were ruled out and my mind was put at rest. Thank you.

It is impossible to speak/see a doctor. I eventually managed to submit an online submission at 8am. This took 4-5 days. If you wait till 8.03 they form is closed. The GP called and asked me to email prescription request. This has not been actioned. I will be moving myself and family elsewhere.

Dear Mr Champion, Prescription requests do usually take a few days to be processed even if they are already on the patient's repeat medications list. New medications, as these were, need to be sent to us in writing by the hospital, then added to your medications list and finally issued once this has been done. Your notes show that you spoke to the doctor about your new medications on Thursday, 15th August and your email with a copy of the hospital letter was received on Monday 19th August. The medications were added to your list on Tuesday 20th and issued on Wednesday 21st August. We are sorry that booking an appointment at the surgery can be difficult at present. This is due to increased volume of patient requests, popularity of on-line booking and reduced funding to primary care in recent years, which has led to a decrease in the NHS workforce generally and to the staff we are able to employ.

I want to be able to phone the practice to make an appointment to see the Dr. At age 90, I cannot use the booking system and have to ask someone else to do it for me. When they try to use the system, it needs to be at 8.00am, as any later they miss the opportunity to send a message and have to try the next day. Because of this poor system since I moved to the practice over 2 years ago I have been unable to contact the Dr when I needed to. When eventually my daughter managed to send a message using the booking system, the response was speedy and efficient, on the same day. I have to go in to the practice to get any attention, and find the nurses and reception staff are both kind and helpful.

My blood pressure continued to rise, the nurse was very worried and made sure I was able to see a doctor as soon as possible. An emergency appointment was made within 20 mins in the surgery with a doctor who had appointments already booked.

I was seen on time even 10 minutes earlier and was checked for what I had the appointment for and I also asked to be seen for a problem I developed on my second toe of my left foot. I was referred to be seen within 4 weeks by a relevant drpartment and I waiting

My appointment on 29th Aug spokento a Locum Doctor who was very good. My encounters with Langstone Way Surgery has been mainly positive and despite the added pressures they are facing with increasing population in the area and limited staff I found the surgery to be empathetic and understanding to my health needs especially this past year. Thank You to the Partner Doctors and Reception Staff/Management
