What a great practice - would highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The new system is brilliant - managed to get an appointment to see a GP without having to ring and even did it out of surgery hours! Had an emergency with my daughter and Vn & SwK went above and beyond as normal - can't praise the surgery enough

Quick and easy to book on line now. You are able to choose who you see, at a time and surgery convenient to you. Being able to book an appointment in advance for the following week suited me as I was able to arrange it around my other commitments.

New System set up without notifying patients. When to need to use it “computer says” not registered with practice even though obviously I am and all my details inc email are on system online and the NHS app. There is not enough flexibility to explain what you need. I had to ring reception (again 25 in the queue) but thanks to a very helpful receptionist managed to get my email a ‘activated’ who then took me through the various tick boxes. The ‘computer’ then generated a invite for an appointment that I didn’t need. Not a patient friendly improvement in my opinion.

I think the new smart appointment system is a good idea. It was fairly straightforward and easy to use. Some of the questions are not quite detailed enough but I'm sure it will continue to be improved. At least we have a chance at getting an appointment now, whereas before it was getting very difficult and unacceptable.

The system does’nt cater for requesting a follow up visit and requires a lengthy questionnaire to be filled out which is totally unnecessary and is annoying and would put me off repeating the process please amend the system. I also wondered a receptionist having to help an elderly gentleman complete his questionnaire whilst stood at the reception desk which I thought was good but takes up too much of your receptionist time and annoys people waiting

Dear Mr Boynton, Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding our Smart Triage system. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as it helps us improve our service. Our GPs are now able to invite patients in for follow up appointments by sending out booking links where appropriate. Please be aware though that they may request you to fill in the triage questionnaire instead depending on the nature of the follow up. We are glad to hear that the support of our receptionist was helpful, but we also acknowledge the impact it may have on others waiting. To address this, we are trying to ensure we have staff on hand to support, including our Digital and Social Inclusion Coordinator or additional staff during peak times, to ensure all patients are assisted promptly without causing delays. Turned away from reception to book app on line. Go around in circles took 3 days to sort when surgery had sms me to contact them in first place. Impersonal and unwanted hassle .

Being redirected and then having difficulty sorting out your appointment is certainly not the experience we want for our patients. The move to Smart Triage was made to improve efficiency and ensure appointments are scheduled more smoothly, however we understand that it can feel impersonal, and we’re sorry it caused unwanted hassle in your case. Your feedback highlights the importance of clear communication and support for patients navigating the system. We are working to have more staff on hand in our front of house areas to support people using the system on our tablets, and to guide patients through the process so that they can assist when needed to avoid delays or confusion.
