Review titled Annual Diabetic Review
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jim Donaldson - Posted on 16 April 2025
Despite a mix up with booking the appointment, I was seen by Ema. She was extremely pleasant, very helpful, quite open in discussion, and overall, it was a pleasure to have an appointment with Ema.

On my last visit for a blood test I found the contact I have been well informed and the whole staff from administration to medical staff have performed their duties with kindness, and professional actions.

Every tine I ever had an appointment, they were great, everyone is always very helpful. This time, I had a blood test, the nurse was super nice. I booked my appointment through the online form, which was great.

I was told to come to the appointment by a pharmacist that told me I had an allergic reaction to the prescribed medication, and that a new itchy raised patch on my face was worrying and needed looking at. I was told the complaint I was being treated for was just cosmetic, turning back the valuable prior conversation I had had about it with the doctor. Then she started trying to 'treat' me for my natural skin tone, telling me it was rosacea, it is not, is just what I look like. Of course my whole life I have been insecure about it, so it's very sensitive but having an argument with someone at the doctor's trying to tell me that there's something wrong with my face is just really horrible. I'm sorry to be dramatic, clearly I'm venting, but I just need to know if I go to the doctor's I will be informed by a doctor 'this time you are a timewaster, we will not see you' rather than made to engage with this, it's really upsetting. I know I will come back to the surgery because I don't see that I have much choice, but I'm feeling very bad about it. tment with someone that isn't a nurse, doctor or pharmacist. I attended my appointment on the 3rd of March and I’m very grateful for the service I received. I felt valued and was able to contribute during the two way conversation with the health professional.
