I write this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Leiston doctor’s surgery. When attempting to book an appointment, the process is incredibly frustrating and disheartening. The reception staff ask an excessive number of questions, seemingly to deter you from seeing a doctor. Instead of scheduling an appointment, they frequently suggest calling 111. If you insist on seeing a doctor, they reluctantly agree that a doctor will call you back. This means waiting by the phone all day, which is an awful experience when you’re not feeling well. When I do finally speak to a doctor, they often talk over me and do not listen to my symptoms. I feel like they don’t understand how I’m feeling at all. In the past 2 years, I have never seen an actual doctor in person—only had blood tests and been referred to the hospital several times. It appears that the surgery has taken on more patients than they can adequately manage. As someone with an ongoing autoimmune disease, I often have to call daily just to speak with a doctor about test results. More often than not, I am told they are fully booked and to call back the next day. This constant cycle is exhausting and unacceptable. The current system at Leiston surgery needs significant improvements to provide the care and attention that patients deserve. The level of care feels non-existent, and patients are left feeling uncared for and neglected.

Excellent care and support they gave me in saving my life and so caring the pair of them. They knew what they were doing and I would suggest maybe being allowed to canulate patients in desperate need like myself to administer hydrocortisone and chlorephenamine

We went and had our flu and covid jabs.The two young ladies on reception were very nice and welcoming,short queue that went down quick and the nurse was very professional.Well done!

It’s difficult to put into words how lucky the people of Leiston are to have access to such a caring, efficient NHS service. All the staff, including the non-medical members, go to great lengths to help when needed. They all deserve huge thanks.

Just wanted to give credit to all of those who made the Covid immunisation process so easy and methodical. The volunteers were very helpful, the one way system in and out was streamlined and the whole system really made it so quick and efficient, thank you very much

Lots of volunteers at today’s vaccinations programme. Cars in and parked using a one-way process, rapid sign-in, and amazingly quick vaccine injections. Top marks for all.
