  1. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

After 35 years using this practice I am having to move. In 2020 I was not seen due to covid but had ovarian cancer undiagnosed until I paid for a private scan. In 2022 I had kidney cancer diagnosed and removed . I have tried to contact the surgery for an appointment as have a urine infection. Been in to be told ring. Ring and told no appointments ring in am rang in am from 8.30 154 times couldn’t get through. Went to surgery all appointments gone you need to ring. Told them I had kidney cancer and it was important to get my urine checked. I’m 2 days now with this pain and no appointment frustrated to say the least

  2. Review titled Despair.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been trying to get an appointment for two weeks now, no such luck! I really do not understand these other reviews who say it is good practice. I was on the website at 8am trying to get an online consultation, every day for two weeks. However, at usually 2 to five minutes past, you get the message 'Leylands Lane is unavailable for medication or admin queries'. I do not know what happened to the medical issues! There was nowhere to enter your details. Surely the slots could not have all gone at that time? I then rang at 8.30am most of the mornings, just to get the really annoying message about Covid that lasts for about five minutes. Then a couple of other inane messages, then to be informed you are number 26 / 17 / 22 etc in the queue, it is so soul destroying! You just loose the will to live! I did eventually get through towards the back end of the second week whilst I was walking on the Cinder path in Whitby, as we had a few days away. But this was only to try and make an appointment with the diabetic nurse who had left a message for me to call her, not a doctor's appointment. Could not believe I was number 6 in the queue, so held on! I was told she was busy, however, about 5 minutes later, she called me back. My appointment is in 4 weeks time!!! Absolutely appalling! I am trying to manage my other medical issues on my own, which are proberly minimal compared to others, but I really feel for them not being able to get the help they require. No wonder A&E departments are filling up. This surgery really needs to be overhauled and not be still spouting 'it's due to COVID'. My family and friends in other districts of Bradford do not seem to be experiencing this shambles of a surgery at theirs! It used to be a pleasure going to Leylands even though you were poorly. Please I beg you to sort it out and get back to normal.

The GP dealing with my current situation has been forward thinking & has kept me up to date with feedback. Contact & feedback helped me cope.

  5. Review titled Provide care promptly

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Although I find the econsult service clunky and impersonal, once you get to speak to a practitioner they are very sympathetic, thorough and efficient. I have been able to access a wide variety of medical care without major delays.

  6. Review titled Don't bother calling

Rated 1 star out of 5

It is absolutely disgusting the type of service this surgery has in place to call through. There is no electronic queue system on the phone lines so you have to keep redialling. Fine I am a healthy person who can do this but what about the elderly, infirm or disable who cannot keep redialling or even struggle to dial! hundreds or redials later you get through and no appointments left. The online system is a farce. This surgery does not even offer Push Doctor services to help out. I have 2 elderly pensioner parents with illnesses and are desperate to be seen and never manage to get an appointment for them. Absolutely disgusting.

  7. Review titled Very pleasantly surprised

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 March 2023

I'd been putting off making an appointment as I wasn't expecting to be taken seriously and didn't feel I had the energy to put my case. But I was still concerned by my symptoms so went into the appointment prepared to stand my ground but I needn't have worried. The doctor I saw was brilliant! He immediately stated his intention to get to the bottom of my issue. He was thorough, gave me lots of information and reassurance. Finally he made a treatment plan and checked I was happy with it before ending the appointment. I left feeling pleased and grateful.

  8. Review titled Good Experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Alison Denison - Posted on 17 February 2023

I contacted the surgery at 1.30pm I was in a queue of five calls, but I was not kept waiting long. I was told a doctor would contact me before 6.00pm. I received a call at 4.15pm and after discussing my symptoms he suggested I went round to the surgery. I waited 30 mins before being seen. The doctor was very pleasant and arranged for me to collect a prescription at the on site pharmacy as it was getting late in the day. All in all, I felt I had been dealt with very well

  9. Review titled Excellent Msk service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by M milnes - Posted on 08 February 2023

From initial contact giving appointment details and location the whole process was excellent. The admin was really helpful and the communication throughout was fantastic. Keeping me involved throughout. The doctor I saw listened cared and made me feel valued. Taking time to explain and answer questions. I highly reccomend them and feel if they had not been so invested we would not have got to what was wrong. So we'll done and you are a credit to the NHS.

  10. Review titled Service levels have gone down bigtime

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 October 2022

The service levels have gone down big time - I have been waiting to speak to doctor for literally 5 mins to explain to me the test results but it’s been 1 week and despite a call back confirmation, no calls and when I have been chasing this up, all I am told is to get a r-consult done tomorrow morning at 8:00 - it’s the same thing again n again tomorrow tomorrow n tomorrow Absolutely unprofessional
