  1. Review titled Phones on hold for ages

Rated 2 stars out of 5

We received texts to book blood test appointments in Hamerton hospital. Blood tests usually need a referral indicating what tests to be performed, and then you go to the test centers walk-in. Never heard before about such appointments. When tried to call the GP, was 20 minutes on hold and still 5th in queue. Not wanting to stay there for days, I quitted! The worst service ever!

Dear Anonymous. Unfortunately have any patient details for you I can not look into your record. You are quite right that if a patient has been requested to go for a blood test at Homerton the patient will need a blood test form, was the form attached to your text message? Was you asked to come to the practice to collect the form?I'm sorry that you was on hold for 20 minutes but we have recently improved our telephone system that allows our patients to leave the queue, (put the phone down) and they will be automatically called back once a receptionist is available. Please contact the surgery so that we may investigate this.

  2. Review titled Unprofessional practice with bad behaviour of staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

Its my very bad experience with this GP from the beginning. I went today after filling the e-consultant form. I have the complicacy for long time around 15 years, for which my previous GP referred me to expertise consultant, but this GP with same symptom, they sent me to their Nurse who did not know or did not read my problem which I wrote to econsultant. Normally the GP should read my problem from econsultant which I filled up and should try to mitigate my problem with more details when I visit. Even the Nurse do not know why I was transferred to her. The staff of this GP are also very rude who do not want to help. It seems to me that they have shortage of Doctors/GP with huge patents. NHS should take reasonable step to mitigate this problem to provide smooth services to the patient. Thanks.

I was very happy the doctor listened to my period problem and gave me prescription on same day to relieve heavy bleeding. I also had referral for blood test and scan so we can hopefully find reason for my health problem. I feel very releaved.

  4. Review titled Outstanding service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The GP went above and beyond to make sure my daughters care and needs was seen to and met. They even contacted the school to liaise with the teachers in regards to her health. This is very impressive as GP’s are very busy and didn’t have to do this. I’m very satisfied with the outcome.

  5. Review titled GP can't/won't renew prescription

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2022

I have called and visited multiple times to request my prescription to treat my mental illness to be renewed and still am yet to receive anything. I was told that my flatmate could request a renewal while I was away on vacation - this was false and her attempts were in vain. I went yesterday, right after I got back, to request a renewal - was told an urgent prescription will be sent to my nominated pharmacy. I called my pharmacy today and they hadn't received anything. I called the GP again today, who said the same thing as yesterday, and told me she'd call me to update me by the end of the day - the GP closes in 40 mins and I haven't heard back. I don't know why it's so difficult to get my prescription when I've never had this issue with my previous GP before I moved. I'm at my wits end.

Dear patient. I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulty in getting your prescription. I appreciate that this must have been very frustrating for you and your friend when given incorrect information on our prescription request process. To avoid any further issues in obtaining your prescription on time, please download the NHS App which you can use to request your repeat prescription, see when it was last issued and the earliest you can request again. Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, we have shared your comments with the reception team to ensure they understand and give out the correct information in future Kind regards - Jess Kaur Practice Manager
