  1. Review titled Where are the Doctors.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Steve - Posted on 19 November 2024

I ring up, to be told to do an e-consult, I do an e-consult only to be told I can't be dealt with via e-consult and a Doctor needs to see me today. I Then call back this Doctors practice at 18:23 to be told by the Automated system that they are closed, early. Why are these Doctors getting paid to sit at home and do nothing while the women behind the desk have to deal with very frustrated patients

Dear Steve We can confirm that our phone system automatically switches to "closed" at 18.30, not a moment before. Thus by calling at 18.23, the phone would have been answered. We have checked our recent records and there have been no glitches meaning that the phone system closed earlier than 18.30. If you would like us to investigate further, please give us further detail by emailing us at selicb.londonlaneclinicpost@nhs.net. Thank you.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Princess takoue - Posted on 30 September 2024

I called at 8am after filling out the Econsult form online and the receptionist was very very rude baring in mind i have previously expereinced the same attitude from the same individual which indicates it's not a one off the receptionist would not let me explain my 17 months old daughter health issues and the concerns i had as a parent she was very quick and in a rush to dismiss me upon all this i still could not get an appointment for my daughter the doctors always call late at the end of the day where not much can be done.

  3. Review titled Might as well not have a building.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bobby - Posted on 08 August 2024

Takes a long time to get through to reception. Can't book appoints at the premises. Appointments have to be done online. Doctors never see you so you have to be some medical guru and describe your issue over the phone. Some people will be better at that than others which can lead to inconsistent diagnoses and treatment. Doctors often late to call you for the eConsult online appointment you had to make so you have to chase this up with reception that's after waiting 20 minutes on the phone. Last time I spoke over the phone with a doctor they suggested I go private suggesting NHS treatment is inferior. Also was told during a phone call with the doctor, once which I had to wait almost a month for to go online and do an econsult form as they can only deal with one issue at a time. Waited almost a month only to be rushed when speaking to doctor on the phone. Only good thing about the practice is the car park.

  4. Review titled Difficult Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Trevor Grace - Posted on 02 September 2024

The receptionist seemed hostile. The patient ahead in the queue was made to discuss publicly her medical problems and difficulties, very unhelpful. I arrived 5 minutes before the appointment, but when finally summoned in to see the practicioner after waiting in the reception area, I was mildly reprimanded for being ten minutes late. I felt I had whooping cough but this was not considered likely by the practicioner. A subsequent blood test showed that I had actute whooping cough. Finally, my experience using online access was poor, very presciptive in many ways. Poor.

  5. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Very unhelpful admin staff. Unable to process a same day prescription due to "policy and procedure" which I am sure is up to their discretion? Unable to send me my summary of medical history electronically? This is 2024! I will be registering at another GP practice.

  7. Review titled Absolutely Awful Practice - so unhelpful!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Never given appointment - Posted on 08 March 2024

I rang the surgery today as I believe I have a chest infection as I am having breathing issues only to be told that if I have already sent an econsult in that I cannot also be triaged via the phone - I only left the econsult in-case I couldn't get through on the phone but I was No.5 in the queue (yes, only No.5) and was told that even if I hadn't sent an econsult that there were no appointments to give anyway......do they have less that 4 appointments a day! I work at a different surgery and I'm so pleased to say that we have at least 30 appointments every day to offer patients, as well as on the day econsult slots, nurse slots and paramedic slots. We also have a whole day of duty doctor appointments (where I should have been placed but was totally dismissed)! This surgery also let my son down so badly a few years ago that he could no longer join the navy! I've never known a surgery so bad and don't know how they're still open!

  8. Review titled We didn't get the help we needed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anastasiia - Posted on 06 March 2024

We did not receive a paper referral for a blood test from the Doctor. When we got to the reception desk, they made an appointment for a blood test. After 2 weeks, we received a referral to which clinic. When we arrived at the hospital, we were asked for a paper referral. But unfortunately, the doctor did not give it to us. Why didn't the doctor issue this referral? My daughter can't ride the Vitobus for a long time because she gets sick. thanks for understanding

  9. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 January 2024

I have been with London lane for 10 years since the pandemic the service has gone down hill. It’s impossible to get an appointment, when you call you are left waiting for no less than 30min and the receptionist are very dismissive. It’s not a nice place to receive care anymore, I recognise that demand for services are high but it’s important that compassion and kindness remain central to interaction with patients. This is not the the case you are are just a patient record. I’m left with no choice but to move practices and hope for the best. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone.

  10. Review titled Access issues

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

No appointments available to book on nhs app for routine/follow up gp care (only options asthma/imm/travel/blood test /smear. In last few weeks I have sent in an econsult - which gp decided needed an appointment- sent a text in the am for a phone appointment in the ‘afternoon’- phone call came eventually at 16:48. Today sent a text by a different gp asking me to book an appointment- now I need to wait for ages in the queue system. Why can you not send accurx appointment booking links so patients who work and need to manage their health can book an appointment, why are there no appointments available to book on line with your gps. Access is extremely difficult at this surgery. E consults are not the answer to all problems - no ‘ consultation’ takes place , there is no opportunity for the gp to ask questions and for the patient to ask questions and share concerns.
