    A very helpful and polite receptionist answered my call when I wanted to book an appointment. She explained everything clearly to me and kept me informed. It was a shame I didn't catch her name.

    I just want to thank the receptionist who took my call. She could tell I was unwell and if it wasn’t for her kind nature to persuade me to come to the surgery and get seen by a doctor, then I may well have not been here today. I had an appendicitis and a ruptured colon. It was her quick thinking that literally saved my life. Also all the doctors that I have seen in my recovery have been amazing. Cannot thank you all enough. Amazing practice!

    I've found the staff and medical professionals very helpful and clear in their communication. They need more investment so they can supply the NHS we all deserve.

    Having recently moved to the practice I have had a number of interrsctions with reception support staff and doctors. They have been excellent without exception. The most recent involved addressing a new issue before imminent travels. I telephoned and was offered an sppointment within 30 minutes and after a short and understandable wait the doctor discussed my condition, offered a prognosis and provided an appropriate prescription. This was consistent with all my experiences at the practice. Despite clearly being extremely busy and short staffed I have enjoyed patience and sttention from courteous staff who are rarely thanked. They are all doing a difficult and essential job to the best of their ability and sre succeeding. Well done all from an appreciative patient.

    I have noticed a marked improvement in the efficiency and demeanour of the reception staff at Longrove. Over the last few years I have experienced some awful issues - from not issuing my maternity paperwork properly, to calling my baby twice for the same immunisations, to refusing to prescribe an emergency inhaler. But recently I have noticed an improvement. The staff are cheerier, more open to helping and finding solutions, and the last few times I’ve interacted with them in person or on the phone, they have been proactively helpful. Today I got an urgent prescription filled over email, and they called me to say it was done - result! It makes such a difference - thank you, please keep it up!

    I called the survey in distress the previous week and had a very friendly, calm and reassuring general enquiry staff look after me who immediately took the right action. As my issue continued I had cause to call back this week and was greeted by the same general enquiry staff who remembered the conversation and was amazing with me yet again. I then attended the surgery and both the evening receptionist and the GP were super helpful, competent and empathetic. Really made all the difference when already in so much pain. Thank you team, you got it right this time! Good work :)

    On the 11th June 2023 I requested a repeat prescription for my pain relief medication via the EMIS online service. I had left a note with the request to say that I was making the request a few days early as it takes a week for the pharmacist to order in the medication and process the prescription. I take a high dose of a controlled drug for severe pain. On 19th June I checked the EMIS service to see what had happened to my request. I found my prescription request hadn't been approved by a GP. On phoning the surgery the request was immediately approved. Because of the amount of time it takes the pharmacist to order in and process the prescription it now means that I will be without any pain relief medication for a minimum of two days possibly longer. Leaving me in severe pain and suffering withdrawal symptoms because of the failure of the surgery to approve my prescription request within the 48 hours they claim they do it.

    I phoned on 28th June 2023 regarding a prescription requested via the NHS App that looked to have remained 'requested' for a week. This was sorted quickly/efficiently by the lady dealing with myself by rejecting my request and then putting the request through by herself so that it was done that afternoon. Not sure if you'll know who it was but just wanted to say that this type of service of being polite, friendly and efficient makes the experience/life better. All too easy to moan so I'm making a concerted effort to praise as I doubt it's done enough.
