    Great service recieved, the receptionist was very helpful and able to arrange my blood tests quickly at a time convenient for me

    My daughter has been waiting for a referral to gynaecology for 3 months. I cannot get through to the surgery to follow this up. This really poor service

    I recently had an appointment for an ongoing knee problem, the doctor was knowledgeable, professional and helpful, the follow up by the surgery was also excellent. This was shortly followed by a general health check by the practice nurse who was efficient, caring and charming. Overall I cannot fault the service I have received from Longrove

    My Thyroid gland is currently unstable, and fluctuated from very high to very low in a month. The reception staff responded swiftly and the duty Doctor, realising urgency of advice needed from consultant, managed to get hold of a top Endocrinologist consultant on a Friday evening. He advised and meds prescription sorted for collection on Saturday morning. I was again impressed with the Longrove team, as without this swift response my thyroid levels would have dropped dangerously low.

    Don't know if this is the right site to leave a recommendation, but here goes. Went today 22/04/2023 for a Covid booster, and was so impressed by the way all the staff treated my wife, myself, and the other people, who were mainly elderly. I do not know if the staff were volunteers, or NHS, but they all, without exception, were all marvellous. So much respect and kindness. Thank you to all concerned.

    Had my health review today with practice nurse. Reassuring but also identifying possible future health issues. Practical non judgemental advice on managing my own health better and offered a 6 month review. Seen on time and in and out in 20 minutes.

    I have never had a problem reaching a duty Doctor when my symptoms have meant I need urgent treatment. Follow up is always thorough and the GPs and nurses have always been, kind, friendly and thorough in my treatment

  10. Review titled Request for a full blood test.

    I was told by the person on General Enquiries that a full blood test was not necessary despite the fact that I have had these for the past 4 years and the NHS website states “blood tests can offer a good snap shot of your health, a good way to catch illness or disease early and to see how well your body responses to treatment and various conditions”.I now have to wait for a telephone appointment with a Doctor to obtain a full blood test, this at a time when the NHS is experiencing staff shortages and industrial action, it all seems so unnecessary and bureaucratic. Is prevention over cure no longer a value within the NHS?

    Dear Mr Rudman, Unfortunately blood test requests that fall outside of annual reviews have to be authorised by the clinicians as there has to be a clinical indication for the request. I have asked the Reception Manager to contact you.
