After a couple of not so flattering reviews, I am pleased to say that everything has now been sorted out, A mistake was made and after it was admitted things have now satisfactorily been concluded. Have been at this practice for many years and always been more than happy, long may it continue..

As always I was once again greeted professionally and courteously by the friendly reception staff. The nurse that administered my treatment was equally friendly and was caring and reassuring during what was quite a painful procedure. Thank you all at the Maidstone Road Surgery.

Arrived 10 minutes before appointment, welcomed by receptionist. Was not left waiting to long ,which was unusual. The healthcare professional who called me in was pleasant,and proceeded to inform me about the flu vaccine, and whether I was happy for her to administer. I have a phobia of needles , so had planned ahead by putting a topical numbing cream on my arm. The nurse did not have any insight into what this was which I found rather strange , and she proceeded in asking me to take off the dressing which was keeping the topical cream in place, alongside wiping the cream off myself too. I was already nervous prior to arrival , and I felt that she did not make me feel at ease , if anything she made me more nervous. I feel that the situation could have been dealt with more sensitively.

I came in for a medication review. The pharmacist I saw was on time, polite, friendly, and a great listener. She listened to my concerns and experiences, and asked what I thought about any changes we could make. I was made to feel in control of the decision, but still very much supported. I would be pleased to have an appointment with her again

After leaving a review here in September, about no COPD review, on the 29th of September I received a text message asking me to make an appointment, great I thought, asked the person on the other end of the line if I would be seeing a GP, no she said you will be seeing a nurse, ok I thought its better than nothing, go up there today and low and behold I was told that I do not have an appointment, whoever was on the other end of the phone line failed to put it on the system...

The new GP is professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. All my questions were answered fully and I was given ample time to discuss any concerns. She is a breathe of fresh air.
