    For over 30 years we have been able to receive excellent service, from nursing staff as well as the doctors. Recently I was referred for physiotherapist treatment, and my husband received up to date diabetes medicine, and an injection to lesson pain in his knee. We are now old and frail but determined to get much older, and less frail, with the help of their perscribed pills, advice and medication. We cannot believe how long the wait is that people complain of in other Surgeries., and simply want to express our gratitude. Thank You.

    Attended today to have a blood sample taken by nurse Seen within a couple of minutes of appointment time. Nurse was her usual friendly, smiley and professional self. Thank you.

    The staff could not have been more helpful, caring and obliging than what they were when helping myself. Then the issue was completely resolved by the ever competent doctor. Could not have asked for more. Long may it continue

    There is a general lack of care at this practice. My latest experience was having to wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes for my appointment which was with a registrar who asked me what I thought the issue was and how was I going to manage it, not my job that’s why I was there. During my wait the head doctor left, there were 7 people waiting to be seen, including a baby. At a previous appointment, as a cancer patient, I asked the doctor about the flu jab and Covid jab. I was told to speak to the nurse to see what she thought. As a vulnerable patient surely the doctor should know whether I should have them. My husband has been offered both as he lives with a vulnerable person! I have also been removed from the online booking option due to a missed appointment, which I never received a confirmation text for. It is one rule for the patients as when the doctor didn’t bother ringing me for a telephone consultation I bet he didn’t get reprimanded. When I rang to question it I was assured he’d ring, he did the following afternoon. He proceeded to tell me he had me booked in for a face to face appointment. The service and card are rubbish at this practice and I can see that it won’t get any better with all the new houses going up.

    Put a repeat prescription thro designated letter box 19/04/2024. This was for a gentleman who has a bad heart , pulmonary embolism and type 2 diabetes. Check with chemist who said nothing has come yet. Waited a little longer. Checked again then tried to ring doctors but busy or no answer. On Tuesday after bank holiday 7/5/24 I got through only to be told the prescription was at the doctor's for collection. The prescription always goes to Boots in Ollerton. Receptionist said it had been "'Stuck in the system?". There are 7 items in all and these are needed 3 times daily especially the blood thinners and heart tablet. She said I could pick them up now or she could have the prescription signed again and sent to Boots. I couldn't go to doctors as I was babysitting my 2 grandchildren and it was late in afternoon anyway. I asked why no one had let me know but she obviously didn't know. It's now 9/4/24 and still no prescription . Nothing like this has happened before but I have been in the waiting room and heard people come in complaining about same thing never thinking it would happen to me. So disappointed as now he has no tablets left. Chemist has told me to see if NHS can help but that's more waiting! What's happening to Major Oak Surgery??

    Had a telephone appointment today And the doctor didn’t even ring me. I called the receptionist 3 times. Everytime they told me a different story that the gp does the telephone apts between face to face apts And can call until 8pm Despite my apt on my mobile app saying 0915. It is now 19:57 in the evening and no doctor has rang me to review my blood results with me. Utterly disappointed

    Rang late in the day about my poorly grandaughter. Receptionist was kind, calm and very supportive. She explained there were no appointments but took the details and explained she would speak to the duty doctor and would call. Thankfully she was seen by a doctor. We are very grateful for all the support we were given, it made a big difference to an anxious family. Thank you so much

    I order my medication electronically. Last time my medication was unavailable at all local pharmacies, but I wasn't aware of this at the time. I was told to phone round everywhere to see if I could get it. Then I was told by a local pharmacy that this medication is out of stock everywhere and I needed to get it changed to something else before I could get it. Eventually I got something else. Then on Tues 22/08 when I tried to order again I ordered the replacement drug in case the original was still out of stock. On Fri it had still not been issued so I rang the surgery. I was told it was my responsibility to check if the original was in stock as nothing could be issued until I had done this. I was then given the wrong number for Tesco pharmacy, but eventually found it myself and was told it was in stock. I then rang the surgery back to request it as a matter of urgency as I was running low. It is now Sat afternoon and it has still not been sorted. This is very stressful as I am in pain and this keeps happening. I have complained directly to the surgery before and been promised these issues will be addressed, but as yet I remain unconvinced.

    Absolutely ridiculous when requesting medication, guidelines state giving 4 days to enable GP and chemist time to fulfill request yet here I am again risking being left with no pain relief over weekend!! Request for regular pain relief 3 days ago and this has still not been looked at by GP.... unable to walk without this and now being told it can't be guaranteed to be ready for tomorrow. What has happened to patient care.....I am sure I am not the only one who has to fight constantly to get care and medications. Why should the chemist have to rush to complete the prescription for patients when gp takes so long to accept requests and send through. All under pressure but patient care should be paramount!
