Review titled Absolutely appalling
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2023
I have been Ill for 3mths seen by 1 GP in all this time my symptoms are far worse than they were I have told the receptionist I’m gravely concerned about how poorly I feel, got told 2 weeks for a blood test unless I done them myself as I’m a nurse which I had to do, got a telephone call from the receptionist to ask if I’m available in a weeks time to actually see a GP, this triage system is not working and get told to ring 111 all the time this is awful to leave people in pain and worried for there health and there mental health, what should it take to see a GP at this surgery? Plus I have Bipolar Disorder and my mental state is suffering. But they don’t care at all don’t see why they take an oath if they don’t want to be a GP

Review titled Highly Professional Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mike Angell - Posted on 30 April 2024
Following on from a triage form completed on the 29th April 2024 online I was contacted within one hour by phone and offered doctors appointment at 11.45am. I was seen by a doctor who verbally reviewed my medical concerns that I had previously completed. The doctor completed a physical examination and determined a diagnosis. He requested that I return in a week after taking a course of medication to assess the next course of action and if necessary a referral to hospital if needed. He also checked my blood pressure which was high and suggested that I complete at home a seven day self monitoring of my blood pressure using my own equipment. This will be reviewed on Tuesday next week the 7th May to consider a change to my medication. I have the highest regards for all staff members at Malvern Health Centre no matter whatever the nature of my medical condition. Their approach to patients care is of the highest standards in my opinion and experience.

Review titled Ridiculous Appointment System
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 March 2023
I used to find this practice very attentive but recently things have become ridiculously difficult. I tried to book an appointment today for any time over the next few weeks (not urgent but menopause has kicked in so I need advice and treatment to help me) I was told that appointments are only available daily at 8am - how is a parent supposed to sit in a long telephone queue each morning only to finally be put through to a receptionist whilst in the school playground to explain they’re menopausal?! Surely there should be a non urgent appointment system running alongside the daily appointments one?

Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ann Marie McCabe - Posted on 27 February 2023
i Have been going to this practice since the early eighties and have found it to be very welcoming and well organized by staff , Management and Doctors.I would and have recommended Malvern medical to many friends. I have to say that the front receptionist are very considerate, I was at the reception area today to ask if there were doctors taking on new patients and the receptionist let me know that there were new doctors taking on patients and that I could make an appointment for my partner as his doctor has retired. Thank you to each and every one of you working at this centre, you are all doing a marvellous job!!

I have been in chronic pain for over 5mths I get told one month it’s this then it’s something else and all I get told is more blood test’s which is every month and the same tests? Seen a GP twice out of 6telephone calls, 24/7 in in chronic pain I don’t want medication I need some help, got told I would be referred to physio to no avail then I get told to try some tablets that the GP didn’t send to the chemist and got told another blood test and I have to get in touch with them to arrange it as never got the link they said I would receive. Never have I came across GP’s with no concerns or empathy for their patients.

Review titled Terrible services

Do not register with this surgery!! Lack of communication. Very dismissive when it comes to telephone calls or questions. Lacking in duty of care concerns. Can not fulfill directions or requests made by patients. If therenis a national shortage of a medication why keep issuing the medicene knowing there is a shortage. I have contacted the surgery on many occasions over the last 3 weeks and also prior to this about a medicene I keep getting prescribed and the shortage it is facing in the uk. I was told by the prescription team to make an appointment with a doctor to receive and discuss an alternative. Instead . I had a message from the doctor , saying and I quote,,, "Hi Redacted.. I've checked with our pharmacy team and you *should* be able to get a prescription for 20mg 'Redacted'now - other strengths are out of stock. I have resent the prescription for 20mg tablets for you to collect from the chemist. Thanks, Dr Redacted. Malvern Health Centre... That is copied and pasted. Now. I've rang chemists all over. Everywhere is struggling for this medicene. why On earth not ring for my telephone consultation as booked at 8am about this after weeks of attempting to do so. I also have other texts from the pharmacy team being dismissive of these issues. Very Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the treatment and coldness and lack of responsibility for there patience that I've always received and experienced from this surgery and quit frankly I've had enough. Again. Do not register!!

Dear Patient, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear of your experience regarding this. Sometimes local pharmacies are able to source stock from their warehouses even when there is a national shortage. Please could you phone the surgery on 01684584050 and speak to either the pharmacist or a GP for us to resolve this for you. Yours sincerely, Malvern Health Centre

Lack of communication. No copies of hospital diagnosis and treatment sent to me for the last 6 months. I feel like a lab rat and not a human being. Victimised is the only way I can explain it.

Tried to make an appointment for my 11 year old daughter, who has been suffering with ear ache and has a build up of wax, despite using ear drops. I was one the phone for 30mins in a queue, once through I was put on hold while the person on the other end talked to a doctor. After around 10mins I was cut off.
