  1. Review titled Amazing Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kioune Quirke - Posted on 24 June 2024

Just come back from my doctor's appointment at Manor Park surgery in Bramley. The doctor was thorough and was decisive at the same time. He explained clearly to me what the causes of the problem could be and what red flags I should watch out for. He explained what he was prescribing, and what the next steps would be (how long it should take to see an improvement and, if symptoms persisted or worsened, what to do next). I felt totally reassured in the hands of a very highly competent professional. A credit to a very well-run practice. Worth noting that I phoned at 8.00am for an appointment and got seen at 9.00am on the same day. Many thanks.

I am pleased to hear you had a positive experience during a consultation with one of our doctors and that he was able to explain things clearly to you and reassure you. 2. Review titled a couple of G P s very good 2pretty good others not seen

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2024

CQC review said that improvement needed for patients with long term conditions, it would appear that that is still the case in our experience. Our son has had a condition that has required care for for over 30 years and we have been at different practices during that time (moved areas) . He has been seen twice face to face by a doctor over the last ten years due to him becoming housebound. Telephone consultations can be difficult due to communication problems and generally run out of time before anything constructive transpires. If follow up needed it is up to us to but it would be good if the surgery checked up to see if all was OK. Probable move imminent with hope that we find some imnprovement in future practice.

  3. Review titled Fabulous GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mary - Posted on 10 April 2024

I attended the practice to request painkillers to help with pain following an accident that had happened to me last week. The GP I saw was wonderful… she examined me thoroughly, she explained things clearly to me, she answered all my questions. She was careful and kind and, as a result of her investigations and actions, I know that I will definitely make a full recovery. Brilliant treatment from a perfect GP… it’s a shame I can’t name her here but I did email to thank her.

  5. Review titled Health Heroes!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I make regular visits to Manor Park Surgery as a result of various health conditions. My wife needed acute care this month owing to an infection. It is difficult to write specifically without seeming patronising. I would therefore just say the the staff are unfailingly kind and helpful, the doctors work extremely hard for their patients, and the care we receive is first rate. They really are "Health Heroes".

I never have a problem getting an appointment, do have to stay on the line for an age before it gets answered but, as with all nhs services, understaffed and overworked. I get it. I saw a Gp today as I was experiencing a very upset tummy. The GP was attentive, sensitive and kind, he made me feel really listened to. I left with lots of helpful and useful information and good advice. Thank you so much, I know how busy you all are but you’re providing an excellent service!

Dear Jenny, Thank you so much for your kind review. I am pleased to hear you are happy with your recent doctors appointment and that he was attentive to your concerns. I am sorry to hear you have experienced long call wait times, which can be affected by staff absences and a high demand for appointments. We do have an online booking service called PATCHs which is an e-consult form that you can fill out via our practice website between 8-2pm Monday to Friday without the need to wait on the telephones, if you would prefer to try this. I will ensure your lovely feedback is shared with our teams. Kind regards Lucy Jones Patient Experience Manager Manor Park Surgery

I am a known sufferer of IBS. Recently having uncontrollable flare ups. Doctor can’t prescribe anything but expects me to purchase over counter. What part of poor does he not understand? So now I am either bleeding from back passage or upon standing have poo running down my legs.

  8. Review titled Appalling Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Debra - Posted on 19 May 2023

Completed e-consult form to be informed no appointments until Monday or to try at 1pm. Logged on at 12.59 and at 1pm there were no appointments. If someone has an issue they want advice about how is an appointment 3 days in the future any good. This is not the first time I have had this problem but will be the last as I have now registered elsewhere despite being with this surgery for over 30 years. Very sad state of affairs.

Dear Debra Thank you for your feedback. It is difficult for me to investigate your concerns without your full identity. I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the econsult service, which is best used for non-urgent issues. You state that your econsult was submitted on a Friday and you were offered an appointment the following Monday....I think this is an excellent service. Best Regards Claire Turnbull Practice Manager.

  9. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carole - Posted on 06 April 2023

I spoke to a GP re a problem that resulted me going into hospital for a couple of days. Following this I had a review with a nurse and i felt really unwell, she was excellent and indicated i had an issue with my pulse she did an ECG, went to GP who saw me the next morning and referred me to Cardiology. I work in a GP practice and know the horrible feedback when people don't get what they want, but people rarely say nice things. But I can say the way I was cared for and the speed in which it was sorted was brilliant. I would like to thank the 3 individuals for amazing care.

  10. Review titled Awful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2023

Been trying for over a month the get an appointment, every time i call (8am for a morning appointment, 1pm to get an afternoon appointment) i can't get an appointment. I have a lump on my neck which is getting bigger and more painful with every passing day, painkillers are not working, cannot sleep, getting headaches, been to the walk-in center and told i need a referral for a scan but yet still cannot get an appointment. The people are reception are not helpful, they kept telling me to go to the surgery to register (before all of this started) yet i could do it online and didn't tell me this, i then found out they had not registered me. I sent over the registration again and it sat in an out tray for lord knows how long (despite me calling every day for an appointment and seeing the registration still had not been completed). I was then booked an advanced appointment and not told it had been cancelled because they still had not sorted the registration (but I was blamed for this). There was then an issue with another surgery registering me as i had called them to see if they could see me (I was blamed for this). Still no appointment, called reception this morning at 7:45 as the website says the GP opens at 7am to find that the website is wrong and that the reception opens at 8am. This is beyond a doubt the worst gp surgery i have ever come across, despite the notes from the walk-in center the GP won't even just refer me to get the scan i need (even though they can also see the history of cancer in my family and the chance this lump could be cancerous. Once i have my referral i will be taking this further with the regulatory body.
