I've requested my hrt meds 3 times and not received them. The only way to add this is to request in the comments box. As this is not monthly it is mostly every 6 months it's not on repeat. Same with my painkiller requests. Perhaps these could be added to the meds list in future so the request is available to tick.

  2. Review titled Excellent response and treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patricia Heyes - Posted on 12 November 2024

I had a serious concern on last week so contacted the surgery. The response was really quick, I saw a doctor that morning, was scanned at Arrowe Park by lunchtime and received a diagnosis by midday. A follow up call was made to me in a couple of days. Today I needed to request a prescription for stronger pain relief so called the surgery . I was seen by a nurse practitioner by 2pm . She spent time assessing me thoroughly and provided the necessary prescription. I can't praise the staff at Marine Lake highly enough. Thank you to all concerned.

  4. Review titled Lack of service

Rated 1 star out of 5

No appointments for blood tests after 1600? What about people who work and can’t just take time off work for a 5 minute appointment. Not a great service, brand new building but still the same poor service and Patient Charter failing's

  5. Review titled Bad experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been a patient at this drs for 34 years. Spoke to a receptionist on the phone this morning as my query I tried to use econsult but it kept saying I had to ring the surgery. Spoke to a really rude member of staff that told me I had to tell them why I needed to see an dr over the phone in order to get the correct help! Absolutely did not feel comfortable discussing private information with anyone over the phone unless it’s a gp. Very rude told me i wouldn’t get the correct help unless I told her. Disgusting. I’ve never known anything like it. I work for the nhs myself in a different sector and wouldn’t ever treat a patient the way I have been treated this morning.

  6. Review titled Horrible Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Leslie Hart - Posted on 07 October 2024

This review consists of a number of things that happened after I was post op from a surgery performed on the NHS in June of 2024. The practice didn't follow up on the consultant letters. I tried to communicate with them on several fronts and they were obstructive to my health and putting me in immense amounts of stress. I've been with this practice for 8 years and every since before covid it has gone down hill and become even worse than it was when I first encountered it. This last fiasco forced me to pay for a private GP and a private consultant to get everything sorted out. I'm disappointed to say the least and the front reception staff are rude and mean to people constantly. They obstruct the care of patients and need to be given some refreshers in how to deal with the public.

  7. Review titled A dysfunctional practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by A Patient - Posted on 10 June 2024

This practice is so disorgnased and let down by the admin and management team. I registered on moving to the area and immediately requested online access to appointments and records. I was told this would be arranged but it never came. I must have chased up 10 times, each time promised but never delivered. I eventually got given a paper form to complete after 20 months. It should have been far easier to arrange a simple process. I had some appointments for a persistent cough, of more than 1 months duration. First of all, it was painfully difficult to book. My 1stappointment, I attended Marine Lake only to be told the appointment was in Birkenhead! A brand new practice has been built and they expect patients to travel across the Wirral? When I politely challenged the receptionists about this, they became incredibly defensive and tried to accuse me of being agressive. They were hiding behind this as a way to cover up for their own poor communication. I was given 2 batches of antibiotics with no investigations ordered. I had to push for tests to be done. No bloods tests? Eventually came to asthma clinic, told there was a really good test that I need to take (feno), had to wait another 2 months for it! It is a simple test with a relavately inexpensive machine. Yet the practice don't have one in place. I work hard and really keep myself healthy with lots of exercise and a healthy diet. When I have an issue, I hope to be dealt with efficiently and appropriately. Sadly this is not the case at Marine Lake. Please improve.

  8. Review titled Fabulous Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by LIAM FEARON - Posted on 18 October 2023

Your Review: Having moved into the area exactly a year ago and between my wife and myself we have had to use the ora twice a number of times I can't give it enough praise. I can assure you that the medical practice we previously attended could learn from Marine Lake and the horrid stories I could relate to you of my sisters surgery in Northern Ireland would make you realise how fortunate we are. The triage system they run is exemplary and I can't understand why it is not adopted nationwide. Every person we have had dealings with within the practice has been helpful and polite. Today I had a consultation with an GP after using the Triage system this morning. She addressed the issue I had approached the practice about and actually identified another issue by being caring and professional. Sometimes we take for granted what we have on our doorstep and don't realise what it's like elsewhere. I can assure you the grass is not greener and I am delighted with Marine Lake Practice. Thank you for all that you have done for us over the last 12 months.

  9. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rosemary Gridley - Posted on 22 September 2023

I have been diagnosed with a long term health condition this year. I have submitted numerous econsults which have all been acted on within 24 hours, most recently this week. All staff have been efficient, caring and proactive in managing and treating my condition. On more than one occasion I have submitted an econsult, seen a gp and received medication within 3 hours. I have had follow up appointments arranged by the gp without me having to ask. Other than this particular medical condition the practice has been excellent, appointments being given in reasonable timeframes for non urgent matters and I have been offered other things such as a well woman check. I have had occasion to call the practice, and it can take some time to get through, but the call is always answered and I have found the reception staff helpful. I cannot fault the care I have received over the last few months.

  10. Review titled If Fawlty Towers was a GP practice, this is it!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 August 2023

Absolutely terrible GP practice. These simply hate patients. Unable to get anyone on the phone. The telephone options menu incomprehensible. Never timely follow up. They never respond. Basic tasks taking 2 weeks minimum. Everyone hoped that in their new building service would also improve. That does not happen to be the case. If anything it got worse. Can't even email them any more, everything needs an eConsult which is drastically time consuming when it comes to non-medical requests. These have to shape up drastically. Patients are seen as an inconvenience for most of the staff and it is clear that the practice/operations manager is clueless on how to improve services.
