My appointment was on 1st March this year at highlands practice it was my first appointment in five years I also had a blood test on 12th March should get results very soon

At a recent appointment I was generally pleased with the conversations that I had with the doctor. The diagnosis and suggested treatment plans and prognosis appeared to be fine on the face of what was said. I was to be contacted by the respiratory team, sent a link to assess the impact of my BPH - I have subsequently received nothing. And more worryingly having fact checked - told mis-information about my condition.

I was feeling so poorly and anxious, I had been in on Tuesday and by Friday I felt much worse. I had already called my family to say I felt so ill and if I couldn’t see a doctor, I would head to A&E. I was upset at the reception, the receptionist was kind, got me to fill out a form and let me sit down. She arranged for a doctor to see me at very short notice. Another receptionist tried to send me home, the original receptionist called me back again and said to wait. After being examined, the doctor called the hospital, wrote a letter and sent me straight to QA, where the phone call and letter meant I avoided A&E, and received treatment as quickly as possible in the Acute Medical Unit before being moved on to a Respiratory Ward. It would be great to be able to see medical staff before medical conditions get so acute they need hospital treatment but on this occasion, and in an emergency (asthma attack and pneumonia), the Jubilee team were brilliant.

The doctor gave me the result of a recent screening with sympathy and care as it wasn t good news. He took time asked if I had any questions. He also phoned me a week later to ask how I was and to reassure me the practice was there if I needed them. I really appreciated that and gave me reassurance which I really appreciated. Thank you.

I had to have a blood test in my lunch break which I was concerned would take longer than I had. I needn’t have worried, they were perfectly on time and even better it didn’t hurt a bit and the results were back quickly. Thank you 😊

Had a consultation for my son, was a routine telephone appointment. I missed the 1st appointment as i hadnt updated my mobile number on the system and they rebooked for a few weeks time. Only critique would be - i wrote my new number on the form, that number wasnt updated on my sons records so then made me miss the 1st appointment. So perhaps someone could check? The GP i spoke to was very thourough and even phoned back to ask more questions. Thankyou for helping us feel at ease.

Called in for a heart screening blood test. In and out in less than 5 minutes. No unnecessary chit chat and a bit cold and clinical but super efficient so can't complain. Back in the car 5 minutes before my actual appointment time.

Lengthy time on phone getting through but dealt with very professionally by person taking details. Did not hear from the surgery for a few days so called in to check progress appointment request. Told GP would be in touch. Saw GP a few days later: consultation friendly and professional.

The dr saw me the same day I requested an appointment. He referred me to the hospital and I was seen there 10 days later and after tests was told I had cancer.
