Registered as a new patient and feels well organised. Sorted out my NHS app quickly as my old temporary surgery took 5 months with no access. Got my medication sorted very quickly and my wife secured a timely appointment. Reception was professional and welcoming. Well done!

I have now on several occasions put in a prescription with the impression 48 hours later I can collect it - the chemist have told me no the prescription has 48 hours to be delivered to the Chemist and then they process it - I have wasted several journeys going to pick them up and they are not ready most recently ordered 7pm on - Tuesday to be told it will be ready on Monday - tired of wasting my time turning up for now reason there should be an email notification system of when it’s ready -I see at the door they collect used inhalers to reduce carbon footprint - and yet I have had to drive there 3 times now for no reason.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, to clarify we do ask our patients to give us two working days (48 hours) to get the signed prescription to the nominated pharmacy. This does not however mean the pharmacy will have the prescription ready for collection by the end of the 48 hours as they will have their own workload and possibly may need to order the item/s in that have been requested on the prescription, which can of course take time. Some pharmacies do have a system in place that will send patients notifications when their prescription is ready to collect whether this be by an app on your phone or text message service if this is something you feel you would benefit from, I would advise you discuss this option with your nominated pharmacy to have this put in place for future orders. Another thought that may be beneficial would be to order your prescription a week in advanced therefore when you have a week left of tablets put in the prescription request as usual, by doing this it would give both businesses time to get your request actioned appropriately and efficiently. I went for flu and Covid jabs this morning. Merepark team were quick, friendly and efficient as always. However for some reason The Cedars were also doing their vaccines and trying to get out of the door they were coming in was Armageddon. The Cedars patients were everywhere, they were rude and trying to stand in the way of people leaving. Merepark system has been in place many years, in through one door and out through the other which is not normally blocked by people from the other practice. Whoever decided to do everyone on the same day had absolutely no idea of the chaos it was going to cause. The car park is not big enough on normal days but today it was carnage. Obviously there were a lot of drivers coming in but they just seemed to panic when they saw the amount of cars both outside and trying to negotiate the car park. In the end they were stopping just inside the entrance and blocking it, I would add That not all of the drivers were elderly but most were. (No disrespect meant). Inside the car park vehicles were abandoned everywhere and I would think a few accidents would take place during the day. This was at 11am. Perhaps they need to rethink this arrangement next time. In general I usually have no complaints about Merepark, and our GP is wonderful, but please think about practicalities next time.

I have an arthritis problem with my hands. I was able to have an appointment very quickly and referred for an x Ray straight away. The member of the team was very helpful and very efficient

I was offered a service that the practice apparently does not get paid for but offer for the wellbeing of patients. Friendly and confidence inspiring was the manner in which I was treated by the nurse, which is what I have come to expect now from this caring, and still efficient, surgery.

Most efficient and caring in everything they do. The staff are welcoming and remember you by name. I saw the doctor of my choice promptly this afternoon and as always I was treated in a professionally friendly and efficient manner. My condition was explained clearly and discussed with me. I was not rushed and was able to ask questions and raise any concerns. The doctor was most knowledgeable and I was confident in the advice I was given and left feeling totally reassured. This has always been my experience at the Practice and I feel we are fortunate to have such caring professionals in our area.

I called to see if I could get an appointment with a doctor I explained that I had seen the nurse on the 20th and the nurse was not helpful I used the word useless and because I use the word useless the reception got very defensive and very rude the receptionist name began with s. I did not know it was the job of a receptionist to tell patients they can't have an opinion.
