Mulgrave road surgery has an amazing team of staff, right from the warm-welcoming reception team to their wonderful and amazing nursing team. Their nursing team is simply awesome, they always go beyond their call of duty and provide utmost care for the wellbeing of the patients. Would certainly recommend Mulgrave road surgery to all my friends and family.

I’ve had to attend regular appointments with my mother since my father died. I’ve been impressed by the way the reception team and doctors have looked after her. Caring, friendly and so helpful trying to fit her in for appointments.

My wife visited the surgery to try to arrange a telephone appointment with one of the Doctors. The doctor called me at home 5 minutes after the request was made. The doctor was professional and empathic to my needs and she sent a prescription directly to my nominated pharmacy. I was extremely happy with the service I received.

Reception always professional and helpful. Dr are professional and provide a professional and caring service. Always able to get an appointment on the day.

The GPs are (mostly) pretty good. When you finally get to see them. However, it's almost impossible to get an appointment and you can waste 20 minutes every day trying to get one. There are never any appointments available through online booking. When you call for an appointment, you listen to an inane 60 second message about how busy they are and that you can book an appointment online. See previous sentence - it's straight out of Kafka. When you finally get to "press 1 for an appointment" you find out that they're "exceptionally busy" (as are, probably, lots of the people wasting time calling you) and that you're number 20. in the queue. That's if you call at 0829. I used the call back function recently (sounded like a good idea). Just don't. They called me back at 1030 "I got a message to call you. Yes, I'd like an appointment. Oh no, we don't have any left. Call back tomorrow". It's truly dire. The "S" in NHS no longer exists. You pay for a "service" and, in truth, its heavily rationed by opaque and ineffective processes installed by incompetent managers. I know the NHS has excess demand. And I'm mostly happy to wait for 7-10 for an appointment to see a GP (if it's an important not urgent matter). That is, if they would let me book one... Truly dire.

Dear Patient Thank you for sharing your feedback about the service provided by the Practice. We are sorry that you did not have a great experience when you tried to book an appointment with the GP. There are times when the phones are very busy; and our call back feature should hold your place in the queue. It appears that this was not the case as you stated that your call back was 2 hours later. We will check that this feature is working correctly. Furthermore, you can also book appointments online using the NHS App or Patient Access; and use our new patient triage system AccuRx for clinical and administrative queries.
