    Is there anyone at New River Health?? I need an appointment, had issues with getting appointment via website. Tried phoning, on phone for 10 minutes after selecting option 1. All I got was music. Totally disgusting & I feel totally helpless & without a GP. Do they exist any more.

    Phoned mid week to ask for apt ref unknown issues with breathing/heart palpitations/raised pulse and near collapse after exertion a couple of times . Within a few days had seen a nurse at the surgery, seen an out of hours doctor and then a paramedic re another topic (skin rash). Now I've had a blood test and awaiting cardio apt at local hospital. Very reassuring. As I'm someone who does not like to use the surgery unless I have to this did seem to be an easy process which I had been dreading before calling.

    When I contacted Castlegate Surgery after Christmas I received excellent and fast service with a quick referal to the Lister Hospital which resulted in a potentially worrying condition being sorted out within 9 days.

    My husband had one or two worrying health concerns and contacted the practice online. An e consultation was arranged and then blood tests were recommended. It was easy to book an appointment at Hertford within a couple of days. The results were available online but one was inconclusive, so a further test was arranged and that result was available within a couple of days. All within normal tolerances so the concerns were addressed efficiently with a comment to repeat the tests in twelve months time unless there is another concern or change before then.

    Until now I hae received excellent service from the Ware surgery but I when I attended for my annual review, as requested, I was not given a blood pressure check and the doctor seemed disinterested and just wanting to get rid of me. The appointment was on time and I was out in 7 minutes told to make a telephone appointment for further discussions. I have not bothered a doctor for 11 months and felt this was poor service.
