My husband submitted a request on Wednesday 12 March only to get a message on Thursday afternoon to tell him no appointments available telling him to resubmit request in a few days. Why waste of staff time and our repeating same request why not just hold it until appointment released which message said is everyday. I suppose it gave good stat result for prompt response but gave no answer

My partner is on anti smoking medication and nurse sent request through on 13th of March for more medication!went to surgery on 20th to be told they haven’t processed the request!! Thought NHS were supporting giving up smoking !! Incompetent!!!

I requested a repeat prescription on the 25/02/25 to be ignored for 8 days! I rang the practice to be told it is at capacity and call later. I then went into the practice on 28/02/25 to be told they can’t do anything as I needed a medication review, even after telling them I have now ran out of vital medication! That now brings us to today (5/03/25) I visited the doctors surgery again and spoke to a receptionist who to be honest did her best to help me! But to find out that they had then issued me the wrong prescription on 5/03/25 after waiting 8 days even though it’s supposed to be a 72hour wait? And then to be told to accept the wrong prescription and pay for a second one when they correct it?! I refused and I am now back to waiting for my correct prescription and being told to wait. Absolute joke!!!

The receptionist at our local surgery on Friday the 2nd Feb at 4.30pm, was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time sorting out my problem, this resulted in a doctor giving me a very prompt phone call which enabled me to get a prescription for the weekend. Many Thanks

My son, 12, was offered appointments on the same day and was seen on time. The urgent care team clinician was friendly, polite and professional, and treated my son and me with utmost respect. I am very impressed how knowledgeable, calm and empathic he was! Thank you so much!

I went with a really bad chesty cough…to be told I’m overweight and have acid reflux. I tried to dispute this as I’ve suffered with acid reflux in the past and I am appalled I was not listened too. I’ve found this practice insufferable for years, to the point I didn’t get help in the past because I have no faith in them. I have become septic in the past due to not trusting them and today’s experience has finalised why I believe this practice is awful! I will now have to go get a second opinion on this. I was told it was acid reflux but I should take myself to the hospital and ask for a chest xray? Well why if my chest is clear? He made no effort and I did not feel cared for or listened to.

I had a stitch in my hand that hadn't dissolved after an operation 3 months ago. I booked an appointment to have it pulled out. The nurse took one look and said "I can't do anything as it would be classed as a procedure, and I'm not covered to do procedures". A nurse not covered to pull a stitch out? It's almost laughable. Terrible service, this medical centre needs a serious overhaul, and a starting point would be with staff who have absolutely no interest in doing their jobs.

Completely ridiculous system to attempt to get medical aid! Especially when we're been bled dry through taxes, only to not be able to access care when needed!! Absolutely disgraceful! So we have to spend time either being in a ridiculously long phone queue or use accurex only to be sent a message back (which patients cannot reply to) stating there's no appointments left and/or seek private health care. Outrageous!!

I've had several occasions when I've needed to call the surgery, always dialing in at 8 am, only to queue up in a long line. Most of the time, I hear the same response: "We cannot give you an appointment." My latest experience was just a few weeks ago, when I found myself 50th in line. When I finally reached someone, I was told, “We cannot give you a future appointment.” I asked, "Ever?" It was baffling. The next day, I tried again, and while I was only 2nd in line, I still waited over an hour just to speak to someone and get my results. After all that, my appointment was set for three weeks away. When I asked if they would call me when my results arrived, I was told I needed to call in myself. Calling in every day for hours? This is an ongoing issue and has been for years. It’s the 21st century—surely, more staff can be hired to help manage calls. On the bright side, the staff themselves are very polite and helpful. I feel for them, having to work in such a challenging environment.

Appointments were running 25 mins late by 0900hrs. They open at 0800hrs. How is it possible to be so out of step in such a short period of time! I had to reschedule due to needing to leave for work.
