After my recent specific experience using the booking system, I strongly felt that the new booking system meant that as a patient I was more distanced from the GP practice with access to GP services appearing to be rationed while a genuine case may not make it to the top of the priority list. This is inevitably leading to poor patient care and also poor patient experience. How did such an approach that degrades patient care got approved and put into place. For actual sessions at the practice, after my recent recent specific engagement with the practice to have my medical condition diagnosed, I felt the clinical staff was not at all investigating the underlying problems but targeting the end symptoms to conclude the clinical session. The underlying conditions could later cause much bigger medical problems unless properly investigated and addressed early enough.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your message. We understand the changes to how you access care might cause some anxieties but would like to reassure you we will be doing all we can to support all our patients. The reason for the changes is like many practices, we have issues with access and our patients are frustrated. We have spent many months planning this change and using the digital tools to support us. Our new system will allow patients to submit their requests online and not have to call or wait in line on the phone or at the front desk. These requests will be triaged by clinicians and appointments allocated, information given and using our team of clinicians appropriately. This should help us manage our appointments and enhance the patients experience, they will need to contact us only the once to get a response to their online consultation. We do acknowledge that using digital platforms could be challenging to some patients. We have a team of frontline staff who will be able to assist patients with their requests, whilst ensuring all request are online and we have a single point of access. This is a huge change for the patients and the Practice team. We want to work together and support each other to help the team deliver and patients to receive the best care. Receptionists are very pleasant and helpful. The doctors and nurse were very nice and patient with me and explained everything to me and made sure my care was followed up. I am very happy with the surgery and staff.

All doctors are excellent except the doctor I saw on friday 4th october. I had pus in my ear which was seeping, she checked and couldn't see it. Showed her on my tissue when is wiped it than she realised. Prescribed the antibiotics. Went to pharmacist to collect it, it wasn't sent. Waited till 2pm nothing at pharmacy so missed 2 doses. Called receptionist, phone got picked up after 20mins even though I was number1!! Which is usual as it has happened in past. Receptionist said she will send a gentle reminder message to the doctor. I told het her to please make it urgent if not I will come to surgery and collect it. Luckily it was sent after 2 hours. It has never happened to me before. Because of throbbing pain and seeping ear I was worried my infection will spread. My last experience with doctors was not good. Rest of the doctors are excellent. Thank you

I moved to this practice in 2020 and have had several appointments since then. Each doctor has been very attentive and helpful. I always feel confident in their professional advice, I never have to worry about being dismissed or ignored like I did with my old doctor’s practice. They take the time to share resources via text especially when it comes to women’s health concerns. I have already recommended this practice to lots of my family and friends. They’re a credit to the nhs. In October 2024, I was really worried about some pain I was experiencing that was similar to my mother who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctor and his supervisor took me through all the ways my pain could be explained and explained what the signs for cancer are. They provided me with leaflets to self-examine properly and explained that not all lumps and bumps are cancerous. I felt very confident in their compassionate explanations and I feel more confident in my awareness of my own health.
