    Whenever I come to this Porters Avenue GP the staff from reception are very friendly, I can get all my questions answered so quickly. Also doctors during my appointments are very helpful!

    Every time I needed an appointment I’m seen within a reasonable time frame, depending on the nature of the appointment, friendly staff, have a passion for great service.

    My husband and I had to change doctors due to lack of care received after having a stroke. This practice came highly recommended by a neighbour and we signed up. In the short time we've been with this practice we have been thoroughly looked after. We have both been treated with the utmost respect from reception to doctor to nurse to pharmacist. What a breath of fresh air. Nothing is too much trouble. Questions answered, advice given and always with a smile and friendly manner. Wish we had changed sooner. Highly recommend. Thank you!

    Have been with porters ave for a few months now, after very bad treatment at previous surgery. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They advised that a spot on my nose needed to be see by doctor . This was done and turned out to be cancer, which is being dealt with. All the staff are alway ready and willing to help. I highly recommend this health centre

    I have been registered at Porters Avenue for Quite some time now. my parents and whole family are registered there. Service has been average but was used to it so I accepted the average bare minimum service. I have had housing issues and the council moved my family to Barking temporarily. we still went Porters avenue as we have been there a few years and want to see the same doctors. Due to my mothers health it has been an issue to go Porters avenue so we have been informed we can use the surgery in Barking called children and family which is part of Porters avenue. I cannot believe the fantastic level of care, the great service, fantastic doctors, management immediately rectifying your problem and the wonderful reception service we receive. Now I want to know one thing why is this the opposite at Porters avenue GP??? The reception team are rude and never seem to know what to do. The doctors always rush you and the care is rather poor. I have made complaints Via email and requested call backs from management but get told they are "Busy". If both places are part of each other why Am I getting treated better at another practice than the other??? Both places should be getting the same training. I am no expert in GP surgeries but something is really not right here and porters Avenue are putting people at serious risks with the poor Quality of care. I am mainly Leaving this review because I will eventually be moving Back to Dagenham and Dont want to continue at Porters avenue if they continue like this. Especially if their Partner surgery is nothing Like this. Whatever training or management is in Barking needs to to go to Porters avenue and give the same training. Another example is the management side Of things. the 2 times I requested a call from the Manager in Barking he contacted me the same day and another time the next day. In porters avenue when I requested a call I dont get one or get told the same "they are in a meeting" or "Busy" I do understand the surgery is busy but again I have to ask why can one manager call and solve my issue and the other cannot give me a simple call back??? If I go Asda I expect the same experience at all the Asdas not complete opposite experiences. The same applies here both Surgeries should be giving the same quality of respect and care. Porters avenue needs to be inspected before it gets worse if that is even possible.

    I was only seen by 2 nurses,They were very attentive to my problem. But I haven't seen the doctor yet, I don't even know who he is.

    After using call back, I was told I cannot make appointments by phone as it is not done this way anymore and that I Must use the askmyGP service, then they said they were sending me a link. They attempted to end the call but I explained I do not have a smart phone so this would not work as it does not have internet. After persisting I was told that they would fill out a form for me and I waited on hold for quite some time while they did this. I was then told I could not phone up everyday and do this. On their own website it says- Appointments To request an appointment -Use the Evergreen Life app. We will respond within normal working hours. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm -Use the askmyGP service. We will respond within normal working hours. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm -Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm -Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm I cannot be expected to sign up to a third party organisation to make an appointment. The recorded message on their number when you call says about using the app so others without an internet connection can get through, presumably to make an appointment by phone. Why am I told I Cannot make an appointment by phone when I clearly should be able to.

    Thank you for your comments on NHS choices. We have introduced AskmyGp ( online booking ) in order to fast and clear access. I understand if any issues with Internet or smart phones but we are still working as normal and our staff is completing request on the behalf of patients for such cases. I would like to meet with you in person to discuss your comments in detail, so that we can improve our service for you and all of our patients. Please could you contact us via email portersavenuedoctors@nhs.net, in order to arrange a meeting so that we can discuss this matter further.

    Only needed to come in to have a blood test done. They cancelled on the day just a few hours before the appointment. I had to take time of work for this appointment, so it was a complete waste of time. How difficult is it to organise yourself and make a schedule that you can actually stick to?

    Thank you for your comments. However we are GP practice and have no remit over phlebotomy nurse who works on first floor. Our Nurses do not take blood at GP Practice
