Review titled Awful surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery is so negligent its unreal. I was sent a message upload pictures of my daughters condition to send to the dermatologist unfortunately I was not sent a link to be able to do this. So I tried calling the surgery to ask how am I meant to upload without a link i was in the first in the queue for 42min within this time I have left from work in kenton driven to Wembley then to the surgery and I am still on hold waiting for someone to pick up. I have said tonthe receptionist how is it possible to be first in the queue for 42min. She said someone at the bank is answering the phones and she's seeing to patients at the front. I am sorry but this is a load of nonsense as far as I'm concerned the calls are being ignored.i also spoke to the gp in regards to a concern I have with my daughter I was told the first point of call would be to get in touch with the school which I thought was strange her school has told me I have to contact the GP i feel like I've been dragged from pillow to post every single time I contact my GP for help there always seems to be negligence God forbid myself or my daughter becomes really I'll.

Review titled Changing GP after this
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 June 2024
I took my son to the practice beacuse he was coughing and vomiting the night before. The healthcare professional that saw my son asked me if he had any fever. I said he didn't. Then he asked me what time I gave him calpol. I said I didn't. He then said "you said he had a fever" I said no. I checked his temperature last night and it was normal. He said to me" I don't think you checked his temperature" as if I am lying to him. I may have mixed 'this morning' and 'last night' as my son was ill during the night time(2am) and I was so exhausted from lack of sleep but it was very unprofessional of him to suggest I was lying. I have seen this person quite a few times previously when my kids were ill and he was not helpful at all. He doesn't even want to listen. He wants to rush us out the door every single time but today's interaction was my last straw.

I received a miss call from the surgery followed by a messaged left on my answer phone asking for extra information to send off a referral for my daughter. I called reception and spoke to a lady asking if she could put me through to her colleague which called my I explained I received a missed call. She advised she will put me on hold to check who called me she came back on the phone a few seconds later saying a referral has been done for you. I said no I received a missed call asking for extra information she then said well you need yo wait for that person to call you back I've asked how does that make sense if someone has called me asking for me to give extra information that is my responsibility to call back to make sure I get it to them she then says no one called you as i cant see nothing written on consultation ive asked her are u calling me a liar just because it is not written does not mean the call was not made. As I find myself getting more and more irritating by the receptionist lack of common sense and insinuating that i am lying in the middle of me talking she puts me on hold which I find extremely rude. The admin lady then comes on the phone and says it was her that called wanted information so she could complete and send of the referral after giving her the information needed I explained to her how I've been treated by reception she apologised on her behalf and advised she will speak to the staff member involved and raise it to the manager. This surgery needs to be inspected as patient care is not there!

I has a appointment booked for my daughter on the16/5/24 as I got to the surgery I marked her in using the touchscreen. I noticed I didn't remember the screen advising me to take a seat so I tried marking her in again. after putting in her details the screen then said there maybe a problem with you appointment at this point I assumed this may have been because I have already successfully marked her in so I took a seat. after waiting for about 10min I went to reception to asked if I have marked my daughter in. she then said I don't have an appointment I replied with yes I do I have the text message handy to show you she then looked on the system and noticed her appointment was rescheduled till the following day without notifying me. after explaining to the receptionist I have wasted my time coming to the surgery she then tried to see if the Nurse practitioner could see me after speaking with him she then advised me to go into room3 as he will see me. as i have gone to room3 the Nurse was stood with his foot in the door and his body half out he then proceeded to talk about my daughter medical condition which I put through on patches I then stopped him and said I am not prepared to talk to you in the corridor his reply was no one is in the surgery so it is ok I then said "well no as it is extremely unprofessional" as I proceeded to walk into his room he said this is not an appointment has he doesn't have any free slots he then gave me a form for her to give in a sample which has already been done in the pass. he advised there's nothing more he can for me has he doesn't have the time and I should rebook. I am disgusted with the service experienced

I was booked for a blood test, but was anxious - as i am afraid of needles. I had a marvelous professional attend to me. I didn't feel the needle - it was not painful, at all! Furthermore, she didn't have the slightest trouble finding my vein [i always had difficulties prior]. Thank You Oxgate Gardens Surgery! Fantastic experience.

Review titled Not fit for purpose

Impossible to make an appointment. Patches never working. Unable to make an appointment at surgery despite being advised to call around if Patches down. The practice management and receptionists obviously don’t read their own website. After arguing in circles the reluctant receptionist finally took my details with the promise of a call back from doctor - 24 hours later I’m still waiting!!! Eventually, in pain, I have no choice but to go to a walk in medical centre where they found I had a fractured ankle. Long gone are the days of friendly receptionists and caring doctors. Basic message- stop bothering us and just go to A&E

The waiting area is like a greenhouse in the summer months. They've made no attempt to ensure patient comfort by procuring fans to make the environment more comfortable for staff and patients.
