When requesting an appointment to see a GP about a skin lesion (which I had been putting off doing fir months) I was given one within a few days which resulted in an immediate referral. It turned out to need non-urgent surgery which has now been booked with Watford Dermatology Department.

I’ve been with Parkwood for my entire life- everyone has always been so wonderful, going above and beyond. Parkwood has saved my life on one occasion when I was 6 years old. Today I had a fabulous experience with the receptionist, who was so helpful and patient with me. I’m very happy with the service I have received.

The service I received was great, from the doctor. I understand it’s not always easy to please us all, but you showed care and compassion. I appreciate the advice and understanding, I appreciate the time, patience and effort. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, having just come out of hospital, I was struggling with additional symptoms and it was impossible to see a doctor. In spite of repeatedly filling in urgent forms on the website, I had to chase to get call backs and symptoms went on far longer than they should have. I was experiencing a lot of pain, could not leave the house but in the end a trip to A&E was necessary as the doctors had not got to the cause of my issue as nobody had seen me.

One of the staff members phoned me regarding a referral to Rheumatology and whilst the news was not great, the staff member was really friendly and tried to help me with a way forward. I did get the staff members name and feel that said staff member deserves some recognition for the friendly manner in which they dealt with me but I know I can't use names for this review.

difficult to get an appt, had to go through loops and hoops to get one for my very unwell family member. Can't book by phone, can't log a request in advance, no contact details to e-mail, Finally got an e-mail address after waiting 10 mins on the phone but my e-mail has now been returned as not sent. This is not good enough

Trying to get an appointment for my 12 month old child is near impossible, they miss urgent online requests, never have appointments for routine checks and can't send basic referral letters when trying to see a private doctor becasue I now can't rely on them for basic care and they are now holding up further treatment. My child has on 2 occasions been palmed off to A and E for no reason, with the consultants at A and E confused as to why we were sent there, wasting their time and putting my child at unnecessary risk of picking up something in the hospital.

I visited the surgery for my second shingles jab. The person who administered the jab was a lovely lady very efficient and pleasant. Makes such a difference when you go to the doctors if the staff are kind and caring

I saw a GP last thursday who was very patient and kind! He treats me with total respect! I had a cortisone injection in my rt knee and he was so careful ! He printed out a form for me to sign , prior to this! He also saw my son this month, along with me present! He treats my son with respect and kindness, too !

Having experienced a serious chesty cough for a number of weeks, I contacted the surgery via the online consultation portal. I made the request at 08.15 and was invited to a face to face consultation at 09.30. On arrival I was seen almost immediately and was prescribed medication and referred for further tests. In the light of the large numbers of negative reviews , I feel it only right to properly recognise what can only be described as an outstanding service. Thank you Parkwood.
