Asked online for a routine appointment following some concerns about a previous blood test. I had a telephone consultation within a week and a follow up tests have already been booked. The nurse on the phone listened to my concerns and was really helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The doctor is an outstanding doctor as she is patient and listens to her patients, an essential ability, but not always experienced. It’s a pleasure to have an appointment with her.

  4. Review titled Gp practice nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 March 2025

I had my first smear on the 29th, after putting it off for two years for no reason other than fear, the nurse who did my smear was so patient, she was very reassuring and talked me through the process along with making sure I knew how to check for lumps in my breast. She spoke to me regarding what the results would mean as that was my biggest fear and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable! She’s a credit to the surgery and I’m definitely going to make sure other people know a pap isn’t scary or painful.

  6. Review titled Needed to have researched my record first!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 March 2025

Although the lady that reviewed test results was lovely, I was asked the same questions as the previous week when I attended for blood tests. And I gave the same answers! I felt there was an assumption also about me personally that she should not have made without actually seeing me on the day, based on those questions. She seemed surprised when I said I have been taking the medication being reviewed since my 30’s (I’m now 57!) and had she known that I think that the questions would not have been asked. Research needed before appointments!

  7. Review titled Quick, easy & convenient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was invited to a smear test appointment recently. It was automatically on Saturday so I didn't need to miss work. The surgery was very quiet which made me feel more at ease & it felt like the nurse had plenty of time in the appointment for a general health chat too which was appreciated.

  8. Review titled Medicinal review over the phone

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2025

As A diabetic I understand I have an annual review but the stages to do this are many.. I used to see the doctor answer the questions discuss any problems or questions sign off and leave. Now I recieve am email or text answering a 10 minute questionnaire including my BP and weight at home. Then I go to a check up with an nurse who cannot give me any advice or answer my questions about my medicine and takes my blood pressure and my weight I didn't choose this appointment it was just sent out to me, already booked again. I then get a message that O need to book a followup to this appointment but this will be on the phone during my hours of work. It is against safeguarding law for me to carry my phone at work so I make special dispensation for the call and ask them the be precise about what time they will call only to get messages on my answerphone and the phone never ring. Why does it now take four different people to review my medicine. It is sooo frustrating. Face to face is a personal and far less daunting task and only requires one maybe two appointments.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the current process may feel more complex compared to previous reviews, and we are sorry for any frustration this has caused. The multi-step approach is designed to ensure thorough monitoring of your diabetes while also making use of different healthcare professionals’ expertise. However, we appreciate that this may not always feel convenient, especially with work commitments. 9. Review titled Didn’t listen

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 March 2025

I called into the surgery to get an inhaler and the lady on reception was very helpful and arranged for someone to call me (had to wait about 10 days). Call came and it was very rushed. Inhaler was as prescribed and I was told it would be sent to Well Pharmacy but I said no good as they don’t open on Saturday (it was Friday afternoon). I asked if it could be sent to Northlands or Boots was told Yes, so I asked which one and the lady said Northlands. About just before 4pm Well Pharmacy text and said my prescription was ready but I couldn't get there before they closed and was away from Sunday to Wednesday so only managed to get it today Thursday. Clearly person didn’t listen or couldn’t be bothered to do what we’d discussed. It’s hard enough to get appointments but then to not be able to get the medication isn’t a good experience
