    Having been accepted to the Practice in July 2022, it wasn’t until last week (7th Feb) that I finally had a face to face consultation . However, my medical history had still not been received or followed up by the previous Practice Staff. The Doctor was very thorough with his explanations of my condition (s) and the options available. I had a follow up the next day for my treatment option. No2, that’s what I call patient care . Thank you !!

    I had a previous issue with regards to notes on my records,, but after contacting the surgery any concerns I had were rectified with care, respect and speed. I can not fault this practice, everything was dealt with in days and sincere empathy..excellent

    Arrived for pre booked 2pm appt checked in at desk at 1.45pm and booked in, receptionist took my details and confirmed which clinician I was booked with and directed me to waiting room by g4- I returned to desk at 2.45pm as I had another appt to get to for 3.30pm and was still waiting, at this point it was discovered the receptionist had not booked me in on computer and therefore I was sat waiting and the clinician did not know I was there. She rebooked me for 2 days later and I left. The doctor rang me about 4.30pm to apologise and asked me to return to be seen but I could not as I had my grandson with me. Then later that day I received a text to say I had missed my appointment and I should have rung to cancel if I couldn’t attend! Maybe a training issue for the receptionist? Thank you

    Our son has some complex and uncommon needs and this practice (from all of the reception team to all of the GPs and partners) has been amazing. We are so grateful for their help and support and the level of service we have received and continue to receive. The reception team are so warm, helpful and knowledgeable and endeavour to support requests as quickly and effectively as they can. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this wonderful surgery.

    Had a baby in early December, and was advised to register my baby at my gp (obviously). I call the gp and the receptionist explains that they are very busy and that I don’t need to until my 6 week check. Then continues to tell me that the 6 week checks are delayed and will be 8-10 weeks. I asked if I could make an appointment for one now so that it wasn’t late and was told no and that there are no appointments in the new year at all. I call to make an appointment on the 17th January, as my baby is now 6 weeks and I haven’t heard anything. Was told appointments are delayed as usual I will get a letter when it’s my turn. I was then told that my details would be passed to the person dealing with the bookings. The next day I get a text with an appointment. I can’t make this appointment so call to rearrange. The receptionist explains that the gp only works till 11! The receptionist is unhelpful, unfriendly and had absolutely no regard for what this situation is doing to my post natal mental health! The receptionist then tells me that I had a letter sent out in December- which is a complete lie. Not only have I not received a letter, I have never received a text with an appointment time and date and no one has informed me of this fictional appointment when I have called to enquire about Luca and my 6 week appointment. The receptionist then decided to put me on hold and when she comes back she explains that she cant find me any appointment ever! So i am now being threatened with my child’s care - once again! This exact same scenario happened with my daughter and I thought it was just Covid delays and added pressure. But now it has happened again I understand that it is down to bad practice and the terrible interpersonal skills held by your reception team. So to summarise, I have been left with no option to speak to someone about my post natal physical and mental health, check on my stitches, have my child registered, the list goes on. Absolutely appalling service by the reception team again!

    Phoned up 19/01/2023 for a Doctors Appointment @ 8.30am, I was given a Appointment at 2.00pm the same day and then a follow on physio Appointment the same day at the Claughton Practice. Could not ask for better care from them.

    My severe asthma was managed by doctors and nurses so avoiding admission to hospital. The staff were very caring and managed the treatment expertly and always with an individualised caring manner. The receptionists and call handlers were very responsive and ensured that I had a call back/ consultation. Paxton medical group is a wonderful team. Highly recommend.

    Our Covid jabs and Flu jabs were managed with friendly military efficiency. Fabulous medical centre and pharmacy at the heart of our community. Also I was able to see a kind and friendly GP (face-to-face) for a panoply of well woman tests. No waiting list, instant appointment, so efficent and attentive, ultimately putting my mind at rest regarding my health and wellbeing. From reception to Doctor the practice is simply fantastic. Thank you to all at Paxton Medical Group for caring for my mine and my families wellbeing so effectively and efficiently :-)

    I went to the practice for my COVID and flu boosters. My appointment was for 0855. There were a lot of other people doing the same thing and it was handled very smoothly and efficiently. There was a queue, but it moved along very quickly and I thin i was in and out within 20 minutes at most. Well done to the practice for organising this so well.

    my wife and I had both our cold and 4th covid jab this morning. We were received in a most polite, friendly and efficient manner and were injected by a fully accomodating and proffesional doctor who gave us our jabs without any fuss, making my wife and myself feel comfortable and at ease. not the most pleasant of tasks to have injections but it was a pleasure to have been treated and looked after so well. Thanks to you all at Claughton Medical centre.
