    After receiving the dreaded reminder to get a smear test I made an appointment with the doctors reception. On visit the nurse who I would love to mention but unable to by name due to the NHS not letting me she was brilliant. She listen to my concerns and was knowledgeable and understanding. The test took literally a couple of minutes and the nurse was fantastic as she was swift and the test was painless. I had to give her a big thank you and let her know it was the best interaction I had received in years as she was calming and assuring and deserved the credit. It was 2 minutes out of my day, what a difference a lovely nurse makes to having a routine test made better.

    I have had a very thorough and informative appointment today. After diagnosing my issue, my doctor spent time clearly explaining the various options to me and spent time talking through my concerns in a way that was understanding and helpful. My appointment did not feel rushed at all and I left equipped with useful information that will be very helpful moving forward. I cannot praise the service I received enough. Thank you.

    I visited the surgery today for 2 vaccinations and there were 2 nurses to administer them. One was a trainee but lovely and professional and delivered the vaccination without discomfort. The more senior nurse was the same, lovely , professional and made me feel at ease. Well done both of you, we are keen to criticise when things go wrong, but what about when things go really well like today. Happy to see you both again.

    Arrived 10 minutes prior to appointment. Was still waiting to see doctor after 45 minutes of arrival. May I add this appointment was for a 9 week old baby who could have caught anything waiting in the waiting area. Asked at desk why I was still waiting and why other patients had come after me and called into the room straight away was told it’s because I was waiting on a certain doctor. Why couldn’t one of the other doctors who clearly wasn’t busy have seen me? Posters around waiting room say 10 min per appointment but people in room a lot longer slowing down the doctor. Whenever you call for appointment even when they just opened they say there’s nothing for the day and try booking for weeks later when the problem I have is now. Definitely moving to a different practice.

    This was my third appointment with the nurse and she was so kind, professional and made me feel at ease. She recognised my symptoms on my first appointment as Vertigo and referred me to the GP who confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed the correct medication. Since that first visit my health has improved tremendously and it is all thanks to the wonderful nurse. She really is an angel in uniform and I am so grateful for everything she has done for me.

    I initially contacted PMC to speak to a doctor about my acute problem and was given a promise of a telephone conversation, which I received a few hours later. All good so far, as a result of the call I was advised to take in a sample, I took a sample in a pharmacy supplied plastic jar that afternoon but was told it couldn’t be used. I was given the correct container and told by the receptionist that I had to wait till next day to bring it in before 12 noon, I had no idea this was the case at that time. All of this meant a delay of 24 hours. So, on the second day after my telephone consultation I called the surgery at the special time of 12.00 hrs asking for results, I was told by a young receptionist that a doctor would have to give me the results, so I asked for an appointment. Apparently, the earliest face to face one would be a month away, this was clearly not suitable as I was having ongoing issues and needed to know what treatment was necessary. I eventually convinced the receptionist that I must have at least a call from a doctor. I was put on the oncall doctor list for that day. On receiving a call from the oncall doctor at 6.15pm I was eventually, advised to visit surgery next morning to pick up test containers and a prescription. Sounding better by the minute…. Whilst having my breakfast, prior to going to PMC, I received a call from reception giving me the time of my doctor ftf appt. I was pleasantly surprised by this, but kindly accepted the offer. On arrival at the surgery, 5 minutes before the appointed time, I was treated very well, and now have full confidence in the help and advice I have been given….eventually. It seems to me that many individuals were involved in this process, and if only one of them misunderstood any part of the processing of my issue, then delays or mistakes could happen. On the whole a successful experience, including a complete review of my medication and general health - being a fairly fit heart patient I am aware of how delicate my health balance is, and sometimes feel that the practice could do more to monitor the ongoing health of patients like me, maybe with a follow-up phone every now and then. Thank you for today’s experience.

    Thank you for prescribing Naproxen for the pain in my knees. It made me so joyful as the pain went away after 1 tablet! I have seen many GP's but non of them suggested this drug. Thanks again for being so approachable and kind. Thankful regards.
