Review titled A seamless and excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2025
After having a fall, I was initially advised to go to A and E but on further investigation the surgery suggested I come in. I was seen extremely promptly - and everybody along the way from receptionists to the nurse practitioner I saw, were highly efficient and pleasant. This is by no means the first time I have experienced outstanding service from Putneymead.

Review titled So unfriendly
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 January 2025
Called in to ask the receptionist a question on Sat morning. She simply didn't want to know, no greeting, no smile, just sucked her teeth at me and made me feel like a nuisance. It took a great deal of strength to go in and ask a question but she was so rude, unfriendly and unpleasant that I left in tears. This practice should employ people who actually want to work, are kind to people who are vulnerable and unwell. This woman was horrible - and she's the first point of contact. I can't recommend this surgery, they are just unkind and unprofessional.

Review titled Fantastic, timely care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 January 2025
I just wanted to say a personal thank you to all of those that have been involved in my care recently. I contacted the surgery on Monday with acute severe shoulder pain. The same day, I received a call from an empathetic duty doctor who prescribed analgesia and booked me an appointment next day. I saw an in-person GP on Tuesday who addressed my concerns fantastically well and was incredibly understanding, she and the physiotherapist managed to squeeze in an appointment and gave me reassurance and a management plan that day. I am all too aware of the pressures that face the NHS and cannot fault them for their care and accessibility. I am already feeling much better.

Review titled Incredibly rude reception staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 January 2025
I visited the gp this morning to ask for an emergency prescription request. I had made a genuine mistake when ordering and was feeling really panicked. The receptionist was incredibly rude, tutting at me and rolling her eyes. Before me was an elderly patient. They also treated him with incredible disrespect, rolling their eyes, being patronising and laughing together. All she did in response to my question was give me a blank, rude answer ‘not possible’. I had to walk away as it made me so upset. I won’t be talking to these receptionists again, it has made me want to leave the gp in case I ever have to face a difficult situation like this again. Incredibly rude, disrespectful and totally unwarranted.

Review titled confusing website
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by A. Fernandez - Posted on 22 January 2025
I was expecting a call from the practice between 3:50-5:50p. By 7PM I had not received the call nor had a "missed call" appeared on my phone. I was at home all day. When I booked this call (not an emergency just info on a certain brand of Malaria tablets), it was easy to find the place to leave a message. This time it was impossible. I didn't want to use the "review" section, but I found no other way to send a message. Also, on your multiply choice questions, it would have been helpful for a "n/a" option. I felt uncomfortable using the "neither satisfied nor dissatisfied" option which seems unnecessarily critical. I am very happy with the practice in general. It's the website that is frustrating.

Review titled Reception

My appointment was at 8am , it’s a stormy morning, rainy and wet , receptionist is sitting at the reception area , there is a sign that clearly says ring clinic bell if door is close , I did , she totally blank that one and to make matters worse there was an elderly lady standby outside n the cold , when she did open the door , she totally disregarded anyone entering the practice and held her head down into the computer. Not good practice. Just my opinion

Review titled Horrible experience

Gp and nhs system need to improve asap. I mean please governors just wake up, after brexit millions of workers left the country, and I can promise you that other millions will leave if we do start to change behaviour when it comes to our health. I have been chasing since october putneymed gp explaining them that I have pain in my bladder and sense of urgent pee, no one cared, they only ask me to do urine tests which were negative, and send me home, like are we for real? no further investigation? I then went to Chelsea and Westminster hospital (please avoid this hospital). I was suffering, as everyday of my life since october 2024, and they again only need urine test, which guess what? they lost the results. It is unbelievable. I am in shock and I need help but no one is providing me with help

Review titled Great practice but.....
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alexandra Brady - Posted on 28 November 2024
Putneymead outsource podiatry problems. They give a very poor service, locations are difficult to get to ie orthotics at Lavender Hill/Queen town Rd. They use this as it is a cheap site which hasn't got facilities for disabled - I was on crutches two weeks ago. I can't get an appt with them despite phoning every day. Appalling service.

Review titled Very Professional
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by john joseph flynn - Posted on 16 September 2024
Today I. had an eye exam due to my diabetes. I was seen by a practioner and her trainee. As you know this test is to determine if my diabetes has caused damage to my eyes. A potentially stressful time on my first experience, but I was put at my ease immediately and felt they had all the time I needed whilst at the same time efficiently doing their job and providing the training aspect. I found this very professional, trainee included, and my experience of the procedure was made much easier because of it. Well done.

Review titled Lack experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I visited the GP & 3 different doctors saw me and yet didn't diagnosis the problem correctly and infact misguided that I had a wart on my finger. Eventually I had to visit the A&E to discover it wasn't a wart but a pregnancy relayed hormonal issue of tissues growing & have to surgically remove it as it has grown much bigger and the initial diagnosis delayed the process for the correct treatment
