    The Health Care Worker who carried out the tests was friendly, kind, efficient and knowledgeable. Appointment was on time. Procedure painless. Results available 4 days later. Good job.

    Medical staff are very efficient, I never have any problems with the treatment I receive. However the same can't be said for the reception staff. They need to concentrate on booking appointments and not offering their opinions.

    Within 24 hours of registering my family (6) with the practice my five year old daughter was bitten by a wasp and very quickly her hand inflamed and swollen so she couldn’t move her fingers. We phoned the practice for an appointment. The doctor called back within the hour and after sending through a photo of the hand, antibiotics were prescribed. They were available the same day at the local chemist. All in under 24 hours - faster and less hassle than the best private practices. Many thanks!

    The receptionists, nurses and doctors at this surgery all do a phenomenal job. The nurse I saw was kind, calm and supportive and I have never had a bad experience with anyone I have encountered. A far cry from some of the other surgeries I have experienced in the past.

    Always helpful and thorough treatment. Easy to book appointments,all staff helpful. Doctor recently helped both children with multiple issues,really appreciate the care.

    Yesterday I had an appointment with a great nurse at Chapel Street Surgery. I was very nervous due to a previous bad experience. I cannot praise the nurse who I saw highly enough. She was kind, considerate and put me at my ease with a big smile to welcome me. She was the perfect nurse in all ways and I want her to know what a big positive experience she made my appointment.

    Following a fall in a car park I badly grazed an elbow and was concerned it might not be healing properly. I called Patient Services for a nurse appointment at 8:40, opted for a call-back, which came at 9:00 from a helpful staff member and a nurse appointment made for me at 1:45pm. The Nurse was reassuring about my healing progress, but cleaned and redressed my wound to make sure it continued healing and provided advice about future care, including a spare dressing. Very impressed and happy with whole experience.

    Requested to see nurse regarding post operation query/assurance. Photo evidence sent for assessment. Told to return to hospital in Harrow as surgical drain required. Spent several hours waiting with concern after this diagnosis. Endured over two hours round trip in car ( I had knee replacement). Only to be told everything was normal and no treatment was required. This system is obviously not fit for purpose in all occasions. Maybe you could review and amended. Barry Simmons

    Barry, Thank you for your feedback. Having recently had a knee replacement operation then you remain under the care of the private hospital used until fully discharged. Reporting significant issues of swelling and pain, the GP asked for some photos to confirm the problem. This also meant you did not need to visit the Practice at that point, with a swollen and painful knee. On reviewing these the GP concluded that it would be in your best interest to have the issue reviewed by your hospital team - they would be best placed to determine whether the swelling was a normal post op condition or something more untoward such as an infection or other issue. The GP was correct in their recommendation, and would not have been different with any further physical examination. Providing photos when requested is a very good way of providing the clinician with additional information very quickly. It is used by almost all practices. The clinician can then request a further physical examination if this was deemed appropriate. You say your hospital gave the all clear, which is good news. We appreciate that the drive to the hospital will have been uncomfortable for you, but hopefully you can see that having this checked out was the correct decision and in your best interest.
