Please list the current staff names and GMC numbers. It’s not useful for patients to list doctors and nurses who are no longer at the surgery.

Review titled Impossible to get help
Rated 1 star out of 5

Let’s start with the fact that the practice website asks you whether the review you want to leave is positive or negative: if positive you are directed here, if negative to e-consult. This morning i phoned at 8 am to get an appointment for my 6 weeks daughter who has developed a cold. After a 45 mins wait (which we can all do with newborns!), an extremely rude assistant tells me that she can only book me for a phone appointment. I tried to explain that the baby is 6 weeks old and that it is difficult to explain symptoms over the phone but she insisted that that was the only appointment she could give me (in an even more rude way). Considering that this was at 8.45 you can imagine the staff friendliness you’ll get of you try to call at 4 in the afternoon. At 4.30 I finally got the call from the Dr. who didn’t let me fully explain the symptoms of the baby and rushed to prescribe me a medication. I politely refused as i’m not comfortable in giving a newborn a medication without a doctor actually seeing her (even if the medication is totally safe). I was told to go to a& e and to call back on Monday if i wanted an appointment next week. I understand they are busy but as a patient you feel like a burden to this practice, nothing else. I would have hoped for a different approach and care with a newborn. The real problem is that we don’t have valid alternatives in woolwich. Finally, the baby is not offered the 6 weeks check but the check is done at 8 weeks together with the first immunisation. I’m really concerned about keeping the baby with this practice.
