Receptionist was so helpful with re-booking appointment for ‘routine check up’. I was seen exactly on time for my blood test. It was efficient, professional and friendly!

I cannot praise all the. Doctors, Nurses and Reception staff enough for the care and compassion they have shown my elderly relative. A heartfelt “ Thank you “ all . A particularly difficult to diagnose skin condition which was monitored closely and a biopsy carried out on site and reviewed and treated over several months. On each occasion the doctor and nurse were kind, caring and efficient and discussed the results with myself and my relative in an excellent example of the shared decision making principle, easing our concerns and together chose the most effective treatment .

I visited Shay Lane to see Doctor H (this review won’t allow me to leave the Drs actual name) on Monday. Within an hour of phoning for an appointment I had not only been seen but had been given numerous medications, had an X-ray booked and actually had it done at Altrincham hospital, and was sat back at home with my feet up taking the medication! Such amazing efficiency was so very appreciated. On Thursday the follow up appointment with Doctor C was just as efficient. I cannot thank you enough for your care, concern, effective treatment and for having the time to not only prescribe what was needed but to be invested enough in the me as an actual person and not just a patient number, to want to listen, understand and get to the root of the problem rather than just be reactive to the current situation. I have also had numerous appointments, with both of these doctors regarding my elderly parents and their progressing dementia. Not only are they absolutely amazing in their sensitivity and treatment towards my parents and their situation but they genuinely care. Their determination to support us as a family as we go along this anguished pathway is also to be commended. Without their support we would have found life even more difficult as we deal with their dementia etc. Therefore as a family we can’t thank you enough. The staff on reception should also be commended for their thoughtfulness and efficiency too. Thank you

The reception answered my call as 8:30 this morning. The receptionist has no customer service especially not a standard to work as a receptionist in a doctors surgery where people are calling up for help and concerns. I couldn’t get to the practice within 20 mins and she asked me why? I’ve never been asked this at any doctor’s or appointments. I told her I stayed at my partners last night and continued to ask me ‘well how come you can’t get here in 20 mins’ I replied ‘ I won’t be able to due to being in Stockport’ her reply way ‘ well… we only can provide appointments to people living in this area’… which I do! I was shocked I was being questioned by a receptionist and my main concern was just being able to find another appointment in the day as I have called first thing at 8:30 like the practice advices you to. She puts me on hold and says the next appointment is 6:30pm out of hours and I asked her a few questions regarding that as I have never been to an out of house appointment before and she’s speaking to me like I am stupid and belittling ‘ what do you mean how does it work, it’s an out of hours appointment’. I am utterly disgusted at the way she spoke to me and it isn’t the first time she’s spoken to me and my family when they call, this way. It is disgraceful. If you are calling in regards to your health concern ypu should be speaking to a professional not a moody/ judgmental and careless receptionist who doesn’t really take in consideration how the patients are feeling.

Had a few experiences with the GP in the past few months both for my own health and my children's health. The online consultation is really efficient and I've had a quick call back the same day about the problem. All the GPs I've spoken with have been very friendly and polite and the treatment we've received as a family has been great. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Had a phone call from the surgery for me to make an appointment for a diabetes check up. It was very easily arranged for me to have a telephone appointment with the diabetic nurse. Great friendly service, thank you.

I recently had the terrifying experience of bringing my young daughter to the surgery with a non-blanching rash. I cannot praise the GP highly enough for his swift examination and for striking the perfect balance between underlining the urgency at which we needed to get to A&E but also reassuring me that he felt everything would probably be ok, and to encourage me to try not to panic. He called ahead so A&E knew we were coming. He then rang A&E again and contacted me 2-3 times to check up on my daughter. Thankfully all was fine and I hope I never have to go through anything as traumatic but if I do, I hope I have these doctors by our side. Another male GP at the practice has also repeatedly delivered us exceptional service, above and beyond what I have ever known a GP:practice to deliver. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all that you do, and did for us this past weekend; we truly value and appreciate you.
