    I always find the staff helpful and the doctors listen and help to there best ability. They are very good at doing any follow ups and making sure all other departments Ie. Hospital etc are as quick as needed.

    My wife and I have been with this Practice for 13 years. During this time we have had reason to visit the surgery, or request home service, on numerous occasions. We have a designated family doctor but are able to consult any other doctor in the Practice, which we have done when necessary. Thank you to all doctors, practice nurses and others who have given us great service and care all these years. Presently we have a friend, from Yorkshire, , staying with us who has suffered a reoccurrence of a water infection. Her own doctor declined to send her an electronic prescription because she was “out of area “. Thankfully our surgery acted promptly and enrolled her as a temporary patient. One of our doctors then used the NHS computer system to review her medical file, sent an electronic prescription to our local pharmacy and enabled us to collect the necessary antibiotic pills within less than two hours. That’s what you call 5* Service. That’s the service we are used to. Medical Trusts in North East Yorkshire should take note.

    My wife had a health problem that needed urgent attention. After contacting Heatherview GP Surgery fast action was taken to get her into hospital (Royal Bournemouth). A bed was ready on arrival, testing took place, and a hernia operation was carried out by 20.00. Heatherview's GP's gave a brilliant service and I cannot have expected any more than what they did.

    Filled in an online request for help on Monday. Got an email saying received then got a text to say a doctor would call that pm. No call received. No call next day either. On wednesday went into surgery to ask why. No one knew. Receptionist although tried to be helpful didnt get anywhere. She then had to put the request in again. Had a blood test booked. Turned up told it was the day before even though I had a text saying today. They messaged the nurse who was there but no reply. I saw her enter the reception twice whilst waiting for a reply. They did not go & ask her just said they could not fit me in. Said I could go to another practice tomorrow. That was no good as I had taken the afteroon off work. I joined Heatherview as it is by my house. Everytime I try to book something I am offered another surgery. I want to go to Heatherview - not because I like it there its because it is close to me. Trying to get an appointment is terrible. The receptionist got a bit stroppy when I said it wasnt good enough and replied in a stroppy manner "ok" I told het that reply was not helpful & she then got up abruptly & said I am going to get the manager. The manager came. Calm lady who tried to help. The receptionists really need some customer service training as they just never seem bothered. I know it must be fustrating as they must get all the unhappy customers but thats your job learn to deal with it more calmly & more understanding as the attitude does not help. I would move surgerys if I could but it is closest. Not recommend.

I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your recent blood test booking. I appreciate that it may be more convenient for you to attend your chosen surgery and that it may not always be convenient or appropriate to attend another Shore Medical branch for your appointments. However, our intention is not to cause our patients frustration or difficulty in requesting attendance at an alternative Shore Medical Surgery - rather, to enable us to offer more urgent appointments and more promptly to our patients to meet the present need. Please be assured that there have been significant benefits to merging as a network of surgeries including sharing of resources when short staffed, being able to offer more specialist services across any of the practices, and an increased workforce at a time when, there is increasing pressure on the NHS and general practice. I am sorry that you feel our service has declined. I would be keen to discuss your feedback in more detail with you and therefore ask that you please contact the surgery either on 01202 743678 or complete your feedback on our website www.shoremedical.co.uk to enable me to carry out a full investigation.     I was anxious about going to the GP with symptoms of burnout/depression/mental health. However I came away thinking wow I was actually listened to and supported. This was the first time reaching out for support from the GP as I have been saying I'm ok but had reached a point of I'm not ok. I so grateful to have had such a positive experience which definitely will help me in my recovery (I have worked for the NHS for 22 years myself )
