  1. Review titled Impossible to get a telephone consultancy

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 August 2024

I called at 8am on the dot on Tuesday and was 1st in the queue for 13 minutes and no one answered the phone, opted to press 1 to get a call back which happened very quickly, managed to book a telephone consultancy for Tuesday evening 19:10. No one called me back. Wednesday i called and was told i never answered the phone, I had the phone on my lap for 3 hours waiting for that call, we have all heard that one right, managed to get another appt for Friday (today) 13:30 just received a text and its been cancelled. I followed the link and selected an appt for Monday 8:30 to 12 and that was declined, long story short after many other attempts finally got one for next Thursday, this isn't even a face to face this is the first stage. This is disgusting and i am sure this isn't the end of this saga.

  2. Review titled Not the best

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Andy - Posted on 08 August 2024

The Prescriptions team are the worst, constant problems with them and again today, went in over a week ago, confirmed with the chemists computer. Not even looked at until just now when we complained. Repeat prescriptions are so hard to get throughout 2024. I find the reception staff usually very nice and helpful though. Some of the doctors and nurse practitioners are great too but there are at least two one a Dr one a nurse practitioner who just don't want to listen to you, who rush ppl through and are just achieving nothing. Really needs someone to have A good look at who is and who isn't competent I think.

  3. Review titled Early detection

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Robert Villegas - Posted on 01 August 2024

July 11 was my most recent consultation about my hearing problem. Prior to that I was told it was normal, given medication for cold but nothing worked. I was led to believe somebody will call me to get an appoint to wherever or specsaver for hearing test but no sign of it, its already 1 august. How difficult to get an appt just to check If Im going deaf or what. My condition has worsen, this clinic is not helping. Patient helpless. If your are not wanting to do something, dont let me wait, just let me know so I can sort something out.

  4. Review titled Staff act like they do not like you.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 July 2024

My overall experience which is thankfully minimal is that it seems like most of the staff do not want to help you. Their demeanour and attitude towards people looking for help is really so rude, it's quite unbelievable. For instance, I had a phone call appointment and firstly I could hardly hear the Doctor/Nurse who I was speaking to and she acted like she couldn't wait to get off the phone. I feel like people who are paid to help people in need should be courteous at the very least. My daughter spoke to a receptionist there today for the first time in her life to organise an appointment and she told me the person she spoke to was very rude. Unfortunately I hd to tell her that most people who work there are rude in my experience, which ruins the reputation of the few people who are kind and courteous. I think all staff should be sent on a communications skills course. I pity the really ill or elderly people trying to get some help from this surgery.

My elderly mum has severe Oesteoarthritis, previously she has has steroid injections but is now housebound and as she cant get to the hospital without NHS assistance because she cant get in and out of car, she has been told to take paracetamol in between her normal medication and that is that regardless of the constant pain she is in

  7. Review titled So bad it's a joke

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 June 2023

Have tried for several days to get a shingles vaccination. Can't make a booking on the website. The advice is to call the surgery. I have tried calling several times but nobody answers or you get told they are very busy and terminate the call. Other than that I cannot comment on the service as there is no service.

  8. Review titled Diabolically poor practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2022

Never give appts, overload our hospitals due to a shoddy triage system, completely lacking in patient care or customer service. All call handlers are rude, unhelpful and hold no empathy. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever sign up to this surgery

  9. Review titled Awful Reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Enayetul Islam - Posted on 27 December 2022

In this GP practice, the Doctors are great! The staff and receptionists (except one or two) including the practice manager needs to be replaced or needs full training. The receptionist has no patience whatsoever they reply before the patient finishes their sentence. If you call a different receptionist for a particular problem everyone will give you different advice, which shows there is no unique system of working. If you ask the receptionist to get a call back from the practice manager she never even bothers to call back. This review I'm giving after 4 years of my experience.

  10. Review titled Dire

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jane Banks - Posted on 12 December 2022

Dreadful service. My current complaint is that after a telephone appointment last week, my prescription was meant to be phoned thorugh to the pharmacy. By Saturday morning, the pharmacy hadn't received it. I tried phoning the surgery this morning but after over half an hour on hold, I had to go and do my job. I go to the pharmacy this afternoon; still no prescription. I have just had to sit on the phone for 47 minutes to wait for my call to be answered, to be told that someone will phone the prescription through tonight. This isn't the first time a prescription should have been sent through but I have ended up having to chase it. Such a simple system, and still they manage to make it more painful than sticking pins in my eyes. This is just another incident in a growing number of shocking experiences with this surgery. In January I was made to fill in e-consult after e-consult form for an ongoing issue that they were unable to diagnose. Ridiculously, the e-consult system starts afresh every time you are forced to use it, so there was no continuation of care as there should be from a doctor. I was driven to tears on the phone trying to get someone to help me. Then again in the spring my 11 year old daughter had a suspected infection. I filled out an e-consult form where I was told that because she was young, the surgery would contact me for an appointment. They never did. E-consult does not work and this surgery really need to overhaul their systems. It doesn't have to be this inefficient.
