Review titled Disgusting service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Herbert - Posted on 05 May 2024
How did appointment with physiotherapist and after this I needed a form filling in so I could get private healthcare. I emailed this in one week ago to the email that I was given 10 days later still not had a response. This is easy thing to do all it needs was a signature and return it to my email Not even the courtesy to respond disgusting can’t get through on the phone. Can’t get through on email. How are we supposed to get medical service? These people are Essentially employed by us under the state and are giving us a terrible service if this was a shop or a service would any of us actually ever go back? I don’t think so.

Review titled New triage system is useless
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 April 2024
The surgery has switched to a system called Klinik - a Finnish/Dutch triaging system that (worryingly) uses Artificial Intelligence to direct patients to the correct services (allegedly!). This is supposed to stop the 8am frenzy. I wish someone could explain why this AI form is closed on weekends, evenings and even sometimes during the day. I rang up at 3pm on a Friday to be told the Klinik form was shut for the day. The request was not urgent, but I now have to ring back and wait in the inevitable queue to speak to the same person I spoke to on Friday. Why can't routine requests be submitted at any time? Why couldn't my request be submitted on the Friday for attention during the next week? Klinik claims it streamlines services, but in reality everything seems to have to be done multiple times to obtain the desired result. Every completed Klinik form seems to generate a phone call from a GP. It is a waste of time having a GP ring up for the patient to then tell them the exact same information already given on the form and then that GP arranging an appointment with themselves or another GP. GPs are completing the work twice over. I'm sure the old way may have been frustrating for receptionists, but there must be something more patient-friendly than this.

Review titled Utterly useless practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Robert Connor - Posted on 17 May 2024
It is night impossible to get in contact with this practice. The last time I tried calling I was on hold for 30 minute until my credit ran out. Trying to use their online form is a total waste of time, assuming it's even running when you go to check. 3 weeks and counting and I still have no response to the urgen prescription review I need, I guess I will have to go without medication, as the practice can't be bothered to do anything at all.

Review titled Access pin
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2024
To get a pin (not in capital letters) for your prescriptions hotline you can only, apparently, do it online. Can't do it over the phone or by going to the surgery. Today, the online system is closed until next week. So, How can I get a repeat prescription, please?

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You are able to order your repeat prescription in many ways. This can be done in practice, via online app such as NHS app etc and the Voice connect service (telephone with pin) more information can be found here https://www.modalitypartnership.nhs.uk/awcmodality/howtoorderrepeatprescriptions. I do apologise that you was not able to order the way you was hoping to. Kind regards Rose Patient Experience Team

Review titled Extremely poor patient service standards
Rated 1 star out of 5
by James Yeadon - Posted on 18 March 2024
I received a message from the practice on 18th Feb stating I would be contacted for an appointment within 2 weeks, but certainly no longer than 4 weeks. The 4 weeks has now passed and I have had no further contact from the practice at all. If I could get into another practice that was not run by Modality I would jump at the chance but unfortunately 100's have beaten me to it and now other surgeries are not taking on new patients.

Review titled Blood test
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2024
A clinician asked me to arrange an appointment for a blood test. Receptionist said the first appointment would be in 2 weeks & said she could print the form for me to book at Airedale Hospital. I said I could try Skipton Hospital but was informed by her that they no longer use Skipton. However, when I logged on, I was given the choice of Airedale Hospital ,Keighley Health Centre or Skipton Hospital. I therefore booked Skipton for the following day. At the blood test appointment the phlebotomist checked which surgery I was registered with & said it was fine. Maybe staff at the surgery need updating.

Review titled Frustration
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Diane waterhouse - Posted on 08 January 2024
My husband was asked to book an annual review. I eventually managed to leave a request online and was told 2 days later that they would get back in 2 days. They got back and said it will be up to 2 weeks. Today we got a text saying that the review was overdue (This was written in capitals but I am not allowed to use them in this review) . I clicked on the link and found the nearest place was Crosshills, it took 8 tries to click on the offered date to be to.d every time that it was not available. I now have an appointment for him on 29/2/24. I feel we are told off for not managing getting an appointment. Why is everything to do with Modality so hard. Both my sisters in Leeds area at different surgeries have nothing like the problems we have in getting appointments.

Review titled Frustrating Phone Access
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Martin - Posted on 12 February 2024
Frustrating and Difficult Phone Access When called by practice, phone only rang 2 or 3 times before call ending as I picked up my mobile. I called back to hear long, repeated messages to go online, that we will be treated with courtesy and respect, abuse will not be tolerated that there is a long wait so I selected option 1 for a call back. 1 hour later my mobile rang 2 or 3 times and again the call ended as I picked up my mobile. I called back, again, to listen to the endless messages, again, and joined the queue, again. When I finally spoke to someone and explained the missed calls there was no apology, they were uninterested, just asked who had called me and said they would message them to call me back. Contacting Modality is always frustrating and difficult. There are messages saying we will be treated with courtesy and respect and that abuse will not be tolerated yet the service is frustrating and difficult. There is no apology, no empathy, no understanding just a disinterested tone suggesting I am interrupting their day. Modality is the worst practice I have ever experienced.

Review titled Awful.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 December 2023
Let me preface this by saying the pharmacy team are great. They go above and beyond what I would expect of them. Sadly, I think they need to do this, largely, due to failing health provisions in Steeton. I understand the move to line healthcare. It can and does suit many people and help with an overburdened NHS, but exceptions need to be made. Currently it is almost impossible to obtain a face-to-face appointment with any doctors or medical staff. Condition reviews are done via phone. Which, again is sometimes fine, but really shouldn’t be the standard practice. I’ve been trying to order a repeat prescription for the past few days, without success. The website keeps throwing up error messages when I try to do a very simple task. I’ve tried to call, but no luck there either. If a surgery is planning on moving to an online model, the patients need to all be in agreement with that decision, but more importantly, the website needs to work! I’m now left with dwindling supplies for long term health issues and a surgery that is closed until Monday.
