    I arrived shortly before my appointment and booked in on the screen. Waited a few minutes then was seen. Very quick and didn’t have to wait too long past my appointment time.

    The nurse took my blood for my test very quickly and it was pain free. There was an issue with the blood test form not having any information on it about what tests were required from my sample and the nurse sorted it quickly and efficiently.

    The Doctor was absolutely excellent. Very friendly and made us feel like we were important and being listened to. Although nobodys fault in particular, we had to wait a long time with a small baby which is difficult.

    The nurse I saw was helpful and professional. She discussed options and how we should try some new approaches to treating the wound. She listened and discussed treating with respect my own understanding and knowledge of what was possibly needed. Also good to have same nurse as this provides continuity and establishes trust.

    I visited the GP to discuss my blood test results & have a physical examination. The doctor was polite & professional but unfortunately, she was unable to diagnose my health condition. I will probably have to see a specialist. Apparently the NHS waiting list could be as long as 18 months!

    Bloods taken efficiently and without fuss. Subsequent text message advised no further action required but system has set up a telephone appointment with diabetic nurse. While I am happy with this perhaps there should be greater clarity.

    Lovely nurse but, cant review my rests online and after requesting my medication online, im only getting one months worth of medication at a time which must cost the surgery more money as you are having to deal with my scripts monthly instead of the old 3 monthly scripts i used to get. Also cannot review any of my information on the sys online site since portsdown group took over from Hanway group

    Thank you for your comments. When transferring to on-line prescription requests you should still be able to request 3 months rather than 1, it would appear that the set-up has been changed for some reason, you can call to get this changed, or put a comment in with your next request to get this changed. Your access to your records should have remained the same, however this is easily resolved by either speaking to reception or telephoning for assistance.

    Somerstown surgery - My appointment for bloods was running late, but the HCA did her job efficiently when I got in. The receptionist was very helpful in guiding me regarding the online appt booking procedures. As for Portsdown Group as a whole - if you can find a different GP group then do.... physically getting to see a GP is impossible. Even when there is a clear indication that you need to see a Dr, they'll send you to the Urgent Treatment Centre rather than give you an appt! Avoid!
