Review titled Amazing Dr appointment for my daughter
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lauren Jaye - Posted on 12 October 2023
I came in for a doctors appointment for my daughter today. The Dr we saw was very nice. She took the time to throughly check her over. Listen to my concerns and reassure me. She also remind me to follow my instincts. She sang to my daughter which kept her calm while checks were being carried out. Thank you so much, we really appreciate it.

Review titled Great practice excellent standards
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Fulton Clarke - Posted on 07 June 2024
For a period of 9 months every interaction with the practice has been excellent. From the medical staff to the reception staff. Using the econsult service was very efficient and quick. And any telephone queries I had were dealt with very efficiently.

Review titled Disappointing
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Jayne Newport - Posted on 27 September 2023
Called on Monday to book appointment to see the doctor due to being up all night in pain. Receptionist kindly went through the e consult form with me and was told that I would hear back from the doctor later that evening or the following morning. I had no call back on the Monday and no call back on the Tuesday. I called the surgery on Tuesday afternoon to ask when I was likely to hear from the doctor but the receptionist was unhelpful. How does this triage system work ? Considering I have been recently diagnosed with leukaemia I would have thought that I would have heard back from the doctor sooner rather than later or in this case not at all ! Frankly, this experience of trying to see or speak to a GP is stressful and hugely frustrating.

Dear Jayne - Apologies that you did not receive a prompt response on this occasion, I understand your issue was triaged for two working days and the GP telephoned you within this timeframe, however, you had received care from an alternative source. We have reviewed our processes to ensure patients receive a quicker response and expected outcome following triage. Regards Nina, Practice Manager (response sent September 2023)

Review titled Invaluable resource
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Christy - Posted on 14 September 2023
I needed to see a physio and we all know how expensive this is to do privately. I completed an e form online then within 24 hrs received an appointment for the following week with a physio. Put off doing this as I worried the process would take so long but it was the opposite. Had a wonderful appointment where I was fully assessed and given exercises to help improve and strengthen the area of concern. Also offered advice on how best to do these exercises and advised to book a follow up appointment in case after a few weeks I wasn’t feeling any improvements.

Review titled Bad practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Amanda - Posted on 24 July 2023
this morning I called the gp after receiving no response from e-consult and I asked for help because I had a high fever for 3 days and I was seriously starting to worry, that I had gone to the hospital but there was hours to wait and I asked her to help me get an answer quickly from a doctor. The kind receptionist lady with zero tact and education about behaviour with patients and how to understand their agitation and concern, annoyed by the questions I was asking her, hung up the phone on my face without the slightest shame.

Review titled Who?
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2024
Have tried a couple of times over the last few years to get an appointment here with no results. Nobody picks up the phone, no appointments available online, went to their front desk , saw the empty waiting rooms and was simply told to go away and use the online service. Haven't seen my gp for so long, been relying on private care. I'm going to try registering with another surgery and see if they will give me the time of day.

Review titled Almost impossible to get to see a GP
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 May 2023
On Monday, I called up the GP reception as I have been having some pain since Friday afternoon. After holding on the phone for 45 minutes finally I get through the receptionist and request to get a speedy appointment but I am told I need to fill out the e-consult. E-consult takes minimum 10 minutes to fill out in detail which is excruciating task when a person is in pain. I fill the e-consult on Monday morning and I get autoreply that I will get a response within 30 hours. But by Tuesday afternoon I get an email saying "due to greater increase in demand we are unable to allocate appointments within designated response time." Since I cant bear the pain any longer I go to the A&E and after 4 hours of wait, I am seen by a doctor and immediately started on pain meds and antibiotics. This pattern of not getting help from GP and patients ending up in A&E and 111 seems to be becoming a norm after the introduction of e-consult. Even when we get to see the GP in person, after explaining how poorly we are and describing all of the our symptoms, I have been asked "What is it you would like us to do for you today" or "what help you would like from us?" Rather than the GP doctor suggesting the diagnosis and treatment plan. If the Southview Partnership is going through shortage of staff or medical practitioners, and are unable to look after their currently registered patients, why do they still have the notice outside inviting new patients to sign up. Now I am scared of falling sick, basically I bore the pain through the weekend, filled up the econsult form on Monday and till Thursday I have not heard from any doctor from Southview Partnership.

I am sorry to learn of this experience, we rely on our GP's triaging eConsults so we can manage the high demand for access, this also ensures we can signpost patient to the most appropriate clinician, unfortunately we are occasionally unable to meet demand and our lead times are longer than usual. A&E or Urgent Care is sometimes appropriate if patients feel unable to wait for our response, which is usually by the end of the next working day. If you would like to make yourself known to Nina or Jo at the practice we would be happy to review your journey and listen to the calls so we can understand and learn from any issues which may have occurred. Review titled refusal for wife to pick my forms up
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2023
I work in London on a 60 hours a week contract 8-8 how can I pick up any kind of form if I cannot pick up of a weekend. my wife went on my behalf in this weather just to be told no with our 17 month old child. cannot fault the nurses or doctors but reception staff need to realize not everybody has the accessibility to go to surgery whenever they want. i need to get my bloods done , so how can i collect form from other side of London i do not get paid sick leave. so something needs to be addressed or i will have to go to a more understanding gp service.

Dear Patient, Sorry you were unhappy with our processes. As there is only one member of staff working in Reception on a Saturday we are unable to offer all services and are mindful of security, therefore are open for pre-booked appointments only, however, we understand if may be difficult to collect at other times, therefore happy to accommodate Saturday collection with prior arrangement. With your consent a NOK or appointed person can collect test forms etc. on your behalf during our core opening hours. If you are able to make yourself known to the practice we can ensure this is in place for future occasions. Thank you - Nina @ SVP

I attended my appointment on 21st April with the nurse and from the second I stepped in the room I was made to feel at ease. She was kind, caring and sympathetic and really explained things in well. She went above and beyond, in my opinion and I am so grateful.
