  1. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by rebecca - Posted on 11 July 2024

Rang the practice at 8am this morning for an emergency appointment for my son I was caller number 1 and the call was answered within 10 minutes for me to be told that all doctors are working from home. This is extremely frustrating as he needs to be seen face to face and I'm not sure how a GP can diagnose over the phone.

I went still no prescription l said this is a joke and walked out. Shocking practice.

  3. Review titled Very poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John Edwards - Posted on 17 May 2024

I’ve been trying to get an appointment for 3weeks without success, the reason for the appointment was for a review 1 of my medication which runs out Monday 20/05/24. Phoned practice yesterday 16/05/24 and explained the situation that I would not have any medication left next week. The receptionist replied there was nothing she could do but offer me an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday 04/06/24 which is over 2weeks away so I will be without medication for 2 weeks. Does the practice manager realise that this could cause a problem with my health and life. Has this practice taken on to many new patients or is it that they haven’t enough Doctors and nurses.

  4. Review titled Terrible experience and service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 April 2024

After plucking up the courage to book my smear test, my initial appointment was 45 minutes later than scheduled - I was left waiting with no update or apology. Weeks later, I have not been informed of test results and have been referred to and contacted by hospital without knowing why. On asking to speak to a medical professional about my results, I have been told they are too busy and I need to book an appointment! There was zero empathy on display from the staff and they should not have referred me without informing me of the results. This is terrible practice and has caused a lot of anxiety.

  5. Review titled Mr Mystified aged 70 had open heart surgery triple bypass new valve

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Would it be possible for someone to explain why every time I try to make an appointment I'm told 3, weeks even when it has been requested by my doctor via text which I would assume would be quite urgent, after trying to make contact with my surgery and being left waiting on the phone for someone to answer for 40 minuets I decided to call in at the surgery, there was a young lady in front of me who was given a application form to join the surgery my question is why are you taking on new patients when you can't offer a reasonable service to your existing ones, please note I am more than happy with my doctor it's getting to see him that's the problem. If the above was a one off I would not be writing this review over the years it's got worse I would like to suggest either set on more staff or stop taking on new patients if you can't cope someone needs to get a grip of the situation before some poor soul dies yes it could happen and your supposed to be the first port of call.

  6. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2024

I registered with this surgery when I moved into the area. Can’t comment too much on Dr’s as didn’t have too much contact with them. However, obtaining results proved to be a mission impossible. You get through and are literally hanged up on. You call again and they just let the phone endlessly ring. No answer. And no not one off. Same thing keeps repeating. Appalling service. Will be changing asap.

  8. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Paul Byrne - Posted on 22 December 2023

I've been with this practise for sometime now & after a number of disappointing experiences it's time to make it public. Made an appointment for the asthma nurse with a 3 wait for it to be cancelled on the, made a second appointment that too was cancelled when I attended the practice. Point number left waiting to see the doctor kept waiting for 30 minutes, when I did see the doctor was told I'd got 15 minutes. Told to go home and Google it. Point number 3 put on hold for 45 minutes to he cut off, then rang back to be left on hold again so I drove to the center to find 3 receptionists just sat around doing nothing and still on hold . Very poor quality of service and attitude

  9. Review titled Avoid at all cost!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2024

This practice is absolutely the worst I have ever been to. You ring at 8am for an appointment by 8:15 they are apparently all gone and they tell you to go a&e for something a gp should sort. They receptionist are so rude and unprofessional, and when you complain about not getting an appointment even after ringing for 2 months at 8am they tell you to be outside in a que for 8am so they can get you one. I’m sorry I’m disabled and can’t get there. I explained this and they said there is nothing they can do. And not to mention when having bloods done they text you to say something has come back but can’t tell you what it is untill your appointment in a months time. Such a bad doctors they don’t care honestly go somewhere else

  10. Review titled Responsive - no, caring - no , safe - no

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 September 2023

The surgery has been up and down with both professionalism, safety and caring for patients in a person centered way in recent months. This week seems to have been the worst they have been. Request for prescription still waiting after multiple days (unsure if dr iq works). Call for an appointment as a recurrent chest infection get told to call 8… when you have called at 8 and been on hold for 1 hour 40 minutes. It seems the drs don’t believe patients in regards to symptoms nor issues when you do get an appointment. All in all thought it was improving but major issues exist with the basic functions of a community drs. Drs when you do see them (rare) can be rude and dismissive of feelings and symptoms , prescription requests are always really slow to be actioned. Came here after being transferred when my dr retired wish I had the chance to choose a new drs. As other reviews state similar to what I have experienced. Just wish the surgery was better at being person centered and looking after those that they care for. They should listen not judge and be adequate in terms of speed in regards to prescriptions and appointments. I am hoping for an Inspection in the coming months as I do not believe they are meeting standard.
