    Really unhappy with this GP service. The receptionists are almost always rude to me. A few weeks ago I received a text regarding a blood test that was incorrect as i had not had a blood test at that time. The last two times I have seen the doctor they have misdiagnosed me and prescribed me medication I did not need. They don't seem to know what they are doing and I also had to urge them to follow hygienic practices eg. put a fresh cap on the thermometer between patients. Shocking. Also never get to see the same doctor twice so no consistency of care.

    I went to st. James for a check up for the blood test. The GP took my details & she's very accomodating. I went to the blood test department and before getting the blood with the needle that I'm afraid of, the person incharge sees to it that I'm not nervous. Nice experience. Thank you

    Thank you for your kind review. However, it seems this feedback might have been intended for a different service. While the phlebotomy service operates within the same building, we are two separate services. Thank you for understanding.

    Each appointment requires an online form and then a call back which if you miss it you have to start the process from scratch. This is extremely difficult when working full time. I was called on a Saturday morning when the online form stated I would be called 8-6 on a weekday. Despite detailing a skin condition that I have a history of and an concerned about returning I was directed to an out of hours GP via the phone who could therefore not examine me. He was quite dismissive of the photo I sent 'not looking very very bad' to which I explained this is why I wanted an in person appointment. He told me he was writing a referral for my private health insurance, however when I went to the GP practice to pick it up the notes say that he told me he was unable to do a referral. I also felt like he was rushing to get me off the phone. Overall this has added an extra week onto the process and I am back to square one having to use the online form to try to be seen in person. This is both frustrating and stressful and requires a huge amount of to just get an appointment.
