Review titled Not a very good reputation.
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Susan colley - Posted on 10 May 2024
I thought when you were put on new medication I was supposed to be checked upon after a month to see how I was getting on That is what I thought the appointment was about. When I got into the appointment apparently it's a new thing where I have multiple conditions they have to check on me every 12 months but I was checked upon two months ago to be put on the blood pressure tablets and as I said no review. Tried to make an appointment with a doctor on the way out have got a phone appointment on the 13th of May. Will see what happens from this.

Dear Ms Colley, We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service you received. The multi condition review recall system, is a newly introduced system this year, which patients were informed of on 20th March 2024. This system will ensure all patients who have one or more of nine chronic condition types, are recalled yearly to ensure we have up to date test results (blood tests, BP, BMI & urine where applicable) relating to the medication taken for those conditions. If you wish to discuss this in more detail and allow us to undertake a full investigation please do not hesitate to contact us via our surgery email address, hwicb.stjohnshousesurgery@nhs.net. Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jacqui - Posted on 13 April 2024
Another great service experience at the surgery yesterday. This was a booked appointment with a nurse. As usual excellent parking to start with, then excellent check in system, great time keeping, clean and orderly surgery and a friendly caring nurse who took great care with the procedure. I also has need to go to reception where I was dealt with promptly with a helpful and friendly receptionist. A very satisfied patient. Thank you.

Review titled Fabulous service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had 1 appt for a blood test which was undertaken with efficiency, care and warmth. The surgery is clean and accessible. Easy parking. Good check in service. Friendly and informative nurse practitioner. During the test the nurse advised me to contact tge surgery for advice in some symptoms I have had that I thought might be related to anemia. I emailed the surgery with a description of my symptoms and asked if I could have advice. I wasn't expecting a call straightaway as I didn't consider my situation to be urgent. I was delighted to have a call within an hour of my email showing concern and taking more detail which has resulted in me having an appointment for a range of blood tests. As usual for me I've had a great service and response at the surgery and I wanted to share this with any existing or potential patients.

Review titled Helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Charlotte - Posted on 21 March 2024
I had been suffering a migraine for 3 days, it has become unbearable. I sent a appointment request online which in a few hours had a phonecall reply. I was called into the surgery for an appointment. When I attended I was wearing sunglasses as I was so sensitive to light, when I went in to see the doctor, he turned the lights off and adjusted the blinds to make me comfortable, he spoke softly and listened to all my concerns. He was very lovely, he made recommendations about how to recover and also provided me a prescription to help with my migraine and explained what to do if I suffered such an attack in the future. I'm now recovering and can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and advice.
