    Over the past 10 years I have received the most amazing service from the practice - in particular I would like to thank the reception staff, who in my darkest hours were sympathetic, helpful and above all professional. The nursing team are always helpful and often go the extra mile - especially the lovely nurse I see on my early blood test appointments - apparently I can’t mention her by name, but I am sure she knows who she is - and bless you! I wont comment on the services of the GP’s

    Annual check up for my diabetes - the usual weight, blood pressure measurements and bloods taken. Appointment on time - excellent, polite & pleasant professional care.

    I attended my routine blood test at the end of December, as I have done every three months for the last 23 years. The phlebotomy nurse was very friendly and was one of many nurses I’d seen over the years. She was unfamiliar with my history and test requirements and, because no information (ie approval form) had been passed to her she had to enter the determinands, individual and grouped, as per my recall of them. Not a satisfactory situation, with her allocated patient time of five minutes being more than doubled. Come-on Steyning HC, life is complicated enough and the NHS is at critical load, so any time-saving, whether it be via practices or technology, could be a life-saver. To top it all, the link that was supposed to take me to a feedback process went to the services page. This review that I’m leaving was buried deep in the menu. Twenty-odd years ago I could turn-up and see the same nurse, a prepared form was generated, I had my blood test and left. Now it’s about how many hoops one has to jump through just to get an appointment, let alone an outcome. I know that staffing has been limited and services are stretched, but please could you improve the overall experience for patients? Thank you and a Happy New Year.

    Having sent an email requesting an appointment I was contacted 20 minutes later offering an appointment with either a doctor, nurse or nurse practitioner. I decided a nurse would be fine and took an appointment at 9.45. I was seen within 5 minutes of the appointment time, with an apology for keeping me waiting! I was reassured by her examination. I was so impressed with the new system, and most grateful to be a patient at Steyning Medical Practice - thank you!

    They sent a message to my phone asking me to send blood pressure results as a reply to the message. They sent it from a short code that doesn't accept replies. Just getting to this review page on NHS app is torturous.
